Did you watch the ITM game?
Well the day is upon us, the game thread isnt open, so I’ll just say it here.
For all my WP mates good luck, lets hope for a good clean game and may the best team win. Also lets hope there are no injuries and those with Bok aspirations realise their dreams. GOOOO SHAAAAAARKS.
When referee Alain Rolland blows fulltime on tonight’s Bledisloe Cup rugby test, the Hong Kong experiment will have fizzled out.
Whether the New Zealand and Australian rugby unions agree to bring another test to Hong Kong in the near future is doubtful – they will certainly not do so ahead of next year’s World Cup – but if they do they need to seriously think about more than just the financial ramifications.
A lack of interest in this game already means the New Zealand Rugby Union expects to reap around half of what it made in the same fixture in Hong Kong two years ago, with the crowd for the match expected to reach only an optimistic 30,000. Last night just 26,000 tickets had sold.
On this game, I reckon the All Blacks by 10 or more.
The All Blacks brand deserves to be treated with more respect in the future and to say there has been a lack of anticipation in the buildup to this is a massive understatement.
Rarely has the atmosphere ahead of a Bledisloe Cup test lacked such electricity and there are a number of reasons for the disinterest in this fixture.
They better be careful there is too much big rugby now.
Superbru we have 27 in our pool

This match is like a joke that has been told once too often; it packed some punch when it was first unleashed in the Far East two years ago.
Now it is still drawing a few giggles, but not for the right reasons.
All these quotes are from New Zealand
The Sharks / WP game thread is scheduled for 11:15 SA Time.
The Great Houdinis strike again. For the second time this season, Waikato have snatched a dramatic final-seconds victory over Auckland on their home ground, this one earning the Mooloos a spot in the ITM Cup final.
This was a bloody great game to watch, more structured than the try fest of yesterday

Nee man, ek het doelbewus laat geslaap, het gewerk tot middernag aan flippen Computers, so ek het die ITM Cup game gemis.
@ grootblousmile:

12@ superBul:
Nee, sit jy hulle op en hanteer dit vir ons, seblief.
Weer besig om te werk…. eishhhhhhhhh
@ superBul:
Let me give an alternate view from the Land of Oz. Iventured into the mega mart today to grab the essential goodies for watcvhing a Bledisloe match, i.e. prawns, Balmain Bugs, large schnapper and ample bottles of Aus red. While there, I bumped into every rugby man and his dof I know in the state of New South Wales – they were all doing the same shopping. The people comprised both Kiwis and Aussies; we all say the same thing, we don’t care if they decide to send a bulldozer down to the Antarctic, with the sole purpose of cutting a rugby field into the snow, if the ABs and the Wallas are playing, we’ll be watching.
I don’t get carried away with the rhetoric about the politics of the game or whether the place will be a sellout; my attitude is purely rugby based – bring it on. We love watching the precursor to next year’s RWC final NOW. Oops, kick off time looming, I’m off to the BBQ for a few garlic prawns.
Enjoy everyone and GO THE WALLABIES.
Anthems….
GO WALLAS!!!!
GOOOOOO SHAAAAARKS!!!!
14@ Old Griquas 14 in Sydney:
Best of luck for your team, friend!
Haka!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OK…. let the games begin!
@ Old Griquas 14 in Sydney:
Well i will hold thumbs for your team today, the ABs is running away too much.
Game on!
Penalty for the Wallas… kickable…. Beale to kick
He misses left
Another kickable penalty for the Wallas…. Nonu & Makou offside at the ruck
nou net gesit en dink:
wat sou die verkeerdste ding wees vir ñ wp ondersteuner om op loftus te sê?
..
miskien iets soos ….
“kan jy asseblief daai ding van jou kop afhaal … dit versper my uitsig”??? 😆
What will be interesting today is to watch what the referee allows today at ruck time.
Beale lines up again…. he misses badly again.
Ozzies have all the possession, so far
Ozzie steal the All Black ball in the lineout… Cooper runs dangerously… it all comes to naught
@ grootblousmile:
The same Beale who kicked a 56mwinner in the 80th minute against us….
