@ grootblousmile:
. . . and those comments exhibit why you are the rugby oracle, mate. Best wishes.
@ Old Griquas 14 in Sydney:OldG, Agree we have to forget the politics and appreciate this great game we just watched.
Can’t wait to see all 3 SH teams now playing up north. Think we in for some good rugby to watch over the next month. Just hope no injuries in the CC final today either. We have some Boks playing and we need them for this tour. Not sure what to expect from the Boks though but think the ABs and Wallabies going to play just fine over there.
@ Puma:122 – OldG, I never put that smiley up there. Have not a clue how that came up. Sorry.
121@ Old Griquas 14 in Sydney:
One has to give credit where it’s due.
I know it’s hard to be objective, but one MUST try.
One-eyed supporters peeve me off, quality is quality, no matters where it comes from.
Enjoy the celebrations… it’s a good evening for you in Ozzie!
123@ Puma:
Bottervingers…. hehehe
@ Puma:
I agree with your comments Puma. The 3 SH teams are setting the height of the bar at present. As for the others, the only side that really concerns me is the Frogs. Their enigmatic style of play is difficult to plan for, but it all adds to the rich tapestry of the ingredients to next year’s RWC.
I can tell you that my rugby mates here are still going ballistic at tonight’s result, so I’m going to join the celebrations.

Hey, what a great idea it was to play the last Bledisloe in Asia, on the way to Europe. Truly, ours is a global game.
126@ Old Griquas 14 in Sydney:
Crowd attendance in Hong Kong was a bit dissapointing, but the game made up for it
@ grootblousmile:125 – gbs, hehehe. No butterfingers boeta. Not sure how those smiley faces come up sometimes. More like gremlins at work here….hahaha.
@ Old Griquas 14 in Sydney:126 – OldG, Enjoy the celebrations.
128@ Puma:
I’ll call you “Butterfingers” from now onwards… hahaha
@ grootblousmile:
Indeed, but the game was an unpaid advertisement for rugby. A sellout would have looked good, but if the races were on at Happy Valley tonight, you’re never going to get the Hong Kong locals to a match.
Can you imagine a situation were the Springboks regularly play Zimbabwe in a southern Africa extravaganza. A game where either side might win, or lose? Imagine the intensity of the fixture; how would SA feel if Zim won? How would Zim resurrect itself after loss after loss?
Think of the game. Change from the norm is good, and tonight’s game is a change from the norm. I congratulate both the Aus and NZ administrations for tonight’s game. Take the chances; feel the heat; make the move; break the eggshells, for without innovation, we just keep watching the same fixtures each and every year.
@ Old Griquas 14 in Sydney:Agree OldG, Taking this game somewhere else has its good points. I would really like to see a Bok/AB or Wallabie/AB game in London. There a many young Aussie/Kiwi/Saffas working there. The stadium there would be a sell out in no time. Something for them to think about taking it over there. Then taking it to Asia is really something different.
Okay going to eat lunch now. Enjoy the celebrations OldG.
@ grootblousmile:130 😀
Okay out of here for now. Going to eat lunch and watch some of the WP/Bulls u19 rugby now.
@ Puma:
I agree with you, a match in London would do the game the world of good, but the IRB resists change in the game generally, so change in its own back yard: unlikely.
I’m off to the bar, best wishes mate.
@ Old Griquas 14 in Sydney:134 – Would be awesome if we could get the 3 SH countries to play a game over in London.
Okay I am out of here now too. Once again well done to your Wallabies OldG. Enjoy the celebrations.
Wont log off otherwise can’t get back logged on. But back later all.
Well this flucks up the start of my Superbru.
You just cannot trust these Aussies.
Any reasonable person would have thought that a side that concedes 24 consecutive points against a side that can finish as fast as the All Blacks would raise their arms in surrender and look for the nearest exit.
Instead the Wallabies showed just why Graham Henry has warned they will be the New Zealander’s biggest threat at next year’s World Cup when they won 26-24 at Hong Kong Stadium last night.
In doing so they ended the All Blacks’ unbeaten streak, leaving it stranded on 15 tests and three short of equalling Lithaunia’s world record.
More importantly for the Aussies, they ended two years of shame by finally beating the All Blacks and put an end to their humiliating 10-match losing run against their rival.

@ Puma:
Hey mate
Were you in OZ?
Where did you go and were you in Sydney for any of the time?
@ Wallabie.:
Walla you must be the happiest rugby supporter in the Southern hemisphere.
I really enjoyed your teams win on Saturday, congrats again.
@ Wallabie.:139 – Howzit Walla, Yip was in Oz for almost 3 weeks. Got back on Friday. Never went to Sydney this time. Was in Brisbane for 10 days and Perth for 7 days.
Congrats on your teams win on Saturday Walla.
Puma and Superbul,
Thanks…the wallabies are looking good but some way to go.
The victories count for nothing if one does not collect the ultimate prize.
The win was good and quade cooper certainly brings the Y factor to the squad…the ARU will be fools not to throw money his way.
He is that good to at least demand a good salary…his play changes the opposition tactics.
It was awesome to see the ABs focus their traffic at the scrum half, fly half and first centre only for quade to throw sharp long passes to outside centre.
Quade had them second guessing….does the ABs send all traffic to positions as mentioned above or spread out and mark man for man only for quade to step his way into space.
I really enjoy rugby when the forwards pound their way forward drawing in defenders and when their is space the ball is swung out to ‘release the hounds’.
GBS – how are you doing long time no see.
I have not been here lately i had my focus on my soon to arrive child and demands of work. Now that EOYT is upon us I will be making an extra effort to show face. I just hope for the SH to give the boot in to the NH.
@ Puma:
If you were in Sydney and I did not get the nod for a drink…you were going to get a piece of my mind.
142@ Wallabie.:
Jeeeeeeeeezzzz, another little Walla on the way…. how can you be so cruel on the World….. hehehe
Hope everything is fine, send regards to Mrs Walla!
Damn good win Saturday for the Wallabies!
@ grootblousmile:
You are too funny…I like it.
Hope all is well your side?
@ Wallabie.:
I have just been watching the replay, wow! What a game!
Kudus to you guys, you are real contenders for the WC for sure, congrats.
One of the greatest games of footie I have seen in a long time.
@ Pietman:
Thanks mate.
I keep my fingers crossed…but I dont hold my breath…in case the wallabies now go and lose all games at EOYT.
