Former Harlequins physiotherapist who admitted to five instances of faking blood injuries in rugby matches has been stripped of his license.
The Health Professions Council conduct and competence committee told Steph Brennan that “by reason of your misconduct, your fitness to practice is impaired.”
Brennan was involved in the staging of Harlequins winger Tom Williams’ (pictured) blood injury during the Heineken Cup quarterfinal against Leinster in April 2009.
That allowed a specialist kicker to come on to the field for Harlequins, which ended up losing 6-5.
The decision came Tuesday after a two-day hearing in London.
Brennan is currently serving a two-year ban from rugby.
He had been working in private practice for the past year.
So now he goes on the dole and the taxpayer is the loser.
