Springboks (24) 44 / Wallabies (28) 31 (Final Score)
The Springboks hosted the Wallabies in their penultimate encounter against one another this year in the Tri-Nations at Loftus, Pretoria, South Africa at 17:00 SA Time. This is the match thread for discussion of the game. The game was broadcast live on SuperSport 1, SuperSport HD and M-Net with previews from 16:00 SA Time.
In a very strange match, the Springboks proved too tough for the Wallabies, running in 5 tries to 4.
What was apparent to me of this match was how severely off form Bryan Habana was the whole match and what a positive impact Chiliboy Ralepelle made as a substitute for a lacklustre John Smit.
Francois Hougaard is my Man Of The Match!
Victor Matfield did a lap of honour after the match to celebrate his 100th Test Cap.
Time for some tough decisions for Peter de Villiers….. put Bryan Habana and John Smit out to pasture, their time has come and gone!

Go Bokkeissssssssssssssssssssssssss
Is boks should loose, make all the SHARKSSSSSSSSSS BOKS. 😎
And congrats to Loosie and Bossie your team played very well last night.
Well, all set up here in the Press Box at Roftus…. but damn, they’ve packed us in here like sardines!
Had to help Greg Martin, Ozzie Commentator… he wantd to know what the street name was which runs directly in front of Loftus Grand Stand….. it’s Kirkness Street of course… damn the man was busy putting make-up on… with him the usual crowd of Reunion
@ Treehugger:
Hi Hugs….thank you very much 🙂 Let’s hope the Bokke does the same 🙂
@ grootblousmile: did you snotklap Marto? 😀
Moved myself to the front row of the Press Gallery…. after all that’s where we belong
8@ nga puhi:
Hey, I did not want make-up on my hands…. hehehe
@ grootblousmile:
Will Loftus be holding a capacity crowd today, also what is your prediction for this afternoon GBS?
11@ Blue Bird:
Don’t know…. think we’ll have close to capacity crowd.
My prediction was Bokke by 10
@ grootblousmile: hehehe so how do you apply it then 😀
@ bos_otter:
Hi Bossie,::-): got to go visitors arriveing.
13@ nga puhi:
Hey, the only way I apply make-up is by rubbing my face in it…. has to be on a woman’s face first though…. hahaha
Bokke by 12 for mine…
@ grootblousmile: hows the atmosphere building GBS?
17@ nga puhi:
Great…. Grand Stand is starting to run fullish…. over on the Eastern side, in the direct sun, it is sparse still…. think they are all in the beer gardens still
Stands are nice and green…. very little puke-yellow support
Go Bokke, make us proud again!
@ grootblousmile: and I dont blame them one bit… nothing like sitting in the sun half tanked, makes the voice much more boisterous and the eyesight less then 20/20 lol
Boys, what’s coocking with the bulls? There depht seems a bit talentless. Time to get the cheque books out!
Boks by 8
Whats it with the Supersport commentators going on and on about Morne Steyn owing us a big one. Hell We can break our own down.
21@ nga puhi:
It is hot in Pretoria today….. I recon it is still mid to deep 20’s.
Windstill…. wonderful weather.
@ Snoek:
Only one thing is wrong there the combinations are changed every week , look at the continuity the Sharks have.
@ superBul:
Supersport commentators like to talk crap, don’t worry about them.
@ grootblousmile: perfect for running the ball? am hoping the Bokke play with the same intensity as last weekend, think if they do it will be too much for the Aussies…
Scott Higginbotham injured himself during practice…… out of the side
Super, strange to see the bulls struggle like this. Boks obviously make a big difference for them.
