Johannesburg – All SANZAR disciplinary questions are now firmly behind the Springbok team and management, national teams manager Andy Marinos announced.

There will also be no disciplinary hearing for South African Rugby Union president Oregan Hoskins, after SANZAR sent a letter asking for an explanation of his comments relating to a charge of “alleged misconduct” against Springbok coach Peter de Villiers.

Reports in last Sunday’s press suggested that SANZAR were not too enamoured with Hoskins’s comments that SANZAR appeared to have declared war on SA Rugby, alluding to the lengthy bans incurred by Bok players and the de Villiers hearing.

De Villiers was cleared on Tuesday by a SANZAR disciplinary when the charge was dismissed, and Marinos said the team was looking forward to focusing on on-field matters rather than the alternative.

“There was an initial enquiry from SANZAR but I’m happy to say that all SANZAR code of conduct enquiries are behind us now and we can focus on what happens on the field,” Marinos said at the start of the four-day Springbok training camp.

Commenting on the disciplinaries, Marinos called it “an unnecessary distraction” but was happy that “sanity had prevailed”. Marinos said.

“It has been an unnecessary distraction. I don’t think you’ve seen so many code of conduct calls from SANZAR before and thankfully it is all behind us now. Sanity has prevailed and we can get on and focus on what we have to do on the field,”

“I don’t really want to talk about a process that has just unfolded. There was obviously concerns from their side that there is a case to answer and I was pretty emphatic in my response that we felt opposite.

“We’ve gone through a process now and thankfully it is behind us. Let us leave the case closed.”

We try a few different angles here on R-T… some historical Articles, some pure fun and humerous Articles, some good banter… some excellent rugby chatter…

Hell, we even have a “Fight Club” every so often where the intention is to insult each other on the provisa that you’re not allowed to get angry.

We’ve had some amazing fun here….

@ Blouste: seems it is a very tough place for us to win at… 3 out of 11 or something similar.. I think if we do win it will be by less then 10, I think you guys are a little underdone with some players… J.Smith not sure if he will be test match ready (havent seen his performances in CC), Frans hasnt played in a while, and didnt impress against Wales… 90000 rabid SA fans cheering their team on… will be our best win of the season IF that happens…

    @ grootblousmile:
I used to visit before joining to read McLooks articles re the 70s AB tour, and am enjoying the 65 version. Ive read the site for a while, like the idea of “fight club” .. almost a “declaration of war” it seems 😀

    @ nga puhi:

I think your chances of winning are better than not to.

Having said that, we’ll be ready for next years WC, that is if France dont manhandle you guys on our behalf 🙂

    32@ nga puhi:
Yeah, letting the hair down… getting frustrations out…. but in very good spirit.

Actually it is bloody difficult to keep on insulting when you have to… hehehe

…and some are just plain pathetic at insulting, it simply does not form part of their character…. people like Old Puma, who could not insult somebody to save his own life, he is just too much of a gentleman…. or gentlewoman…..

We have had say 5 or 10 very minor incidents in a year…. probably less than what happens in a regular day on Voldy… but it does not mean we all agree or stand back from giving an opinion…

    @ grootblousmile:

I wonder where all the Sharks supporters are tonight ?

Seems they have gone into a mourning of some sort 😯

  • 36

    @ Blouste:
Not in mourning…never, we are just circling, like Carcharodon Carcharias does before he chows everything in sight!!!!

  • 37

HE he he, yes you only need to read the Mapoe thread to realize that 😆

    @ 4man:

    35@ Blouste:
They are “bromming” around much like they have a besemstok up the bazooka….

They do not like to be told their beloved Tjarkies made big kakkas…. hehehe

    @ 4man:

Now a STAMPEDING BULL – thats another story !!!

  • 41

@ Blouste: lol we are purposely going to lose in the pool stages to France, leaving you guys to go through Ireland then France to make the final (if the draw goes how it should)..

but I agree, with players returning you guys will always be a big big challenge… seems you are experiencing what we went through last year injury wise..

  • 42

@ Blouste:Correct….just swim under them and they duck, they dont like that, it is in their blind spot…and if he is getting interested in you, you just roll up into a ball and as he gets closer you start stretching out, then he doesnt like that either cause he doesnt know how big you are going to get and then also ducks. Zambezi’s are mal, they will just go straight in and bite…hammerheads and tigers are more circumspect…except if youre swimming of course, on the surface.

  • 43

@ Blouste: Thats also cool, cause then you dont have to swallow…check the scoreboard… 😉

  • 44

@ grootblousmile: I dont think Puma would have an angry bone in his body, unless rugby is on and he wants to blog… then he has to run from the study to the lounge on his poor knees 😀

  • 45

@ Blouste:dont the Spanish have an ideal way to stop a stampeding bull, just throw a few drunk tourists under their feet 😉

  • 46

@ nga puhi: Have you ever participated in the Running of the Bulls….unique experience!

  • 47

    @ nga puhi:

He he he, but have you seen what those tourists looks like afterwards 🙂

  • 48

GBS do we know who the Bok team is yet, or just the squad?

  • 49

@ 4man: never, I imagine it would be a heart pumping experience… but Im from Auckland, we KNOW how to stop them Bulls lmao 😀

  • 50

    48@ 4man:
Just the squad and some speculation….

  • 51

    @ 4man:

Just the squad, thing the team are being released on Friday.

  • 52

Right!!!!I’ve just slid into 22nd and no one is talking to me now.

  • 53

    49@ nga puhi:
Looks like you are sitting somewhere near Cheltenham, Australia… I always thought you were still resident in NZ…

  • 54

    49 @ nga puhi:

The trick is to do it to most of the teams and not just once or twice in the tournament 😆

  • 55

    @ grootblousmile:

    Hy is ‘n henshopper 🙂

  • 56

@ Blouste: think it was RP who sent me an email, it had a photo of this poor bloke who was in the process of being gored by a bull, the horn went in just above the ankle, and you could see it all the way up to the knee without coming back out… did not look pleasant!

  • 57

  • 58

    56@ nga puhi:
