Friends,
Birthday celebrations are in order for Rugby-Talk today, we’re a year old, TODAY!!
Happy, happy… and a big thank you!
At 12:00 SA Time we throw the blog open to unregistered users as well for the day… hoping they behave according to your and my standards here!
I will have a few words to say when the celebrations start… to spell out what has transpired on Rugby-Talk in this short year and what our immediate plans are for the future, what the plans are on the commercial side here at Rugby-Talk, et cettera.
I will send out an E-Mail circular this morning to all registered users, kindly forward it to every Rugby-Talk Blogger you know, let’s see how many of our bloggers we can gather here for the celebrations this afternoon! It might just get totally crazy here if we manage to get everybody here!
Of course, no rugby blog will be complete without some fun and a good old rugby game to blog on… so we’ll cover the Leopards vs Sharks Currie Cup match in the evening and we’ll spread the celebrations over to Saturday as well where we will cover both the Lions vs Cheetahs as well as the WP vs Blue Bulls games.
There were suggestions that we hold a function at a venue here in the Johannesburg area… well that would be a bit unfair seeing as our readership basically spans the globe, so plans will be made for a few get-togethers in due time in Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban… and possibly in England and amongst the Ozzmob and the Kiwi’s as well.
In the meantime, charge your drinks… we will each cyber celebrate today!
Time stands still for no-one, so I have not had sufficient time to finish the “NEW LOOK AND FEEL” of the web site and have decided that we’ll celebrate our birthday with our “OLD JACKET” still firmly in place… to be replaced and tested by the new one in a few days time. It probably also makes more sense to stick with the familiar and gradually move over to the new format.
Hope you have a fabulous day.
Treat each other well, treat our visitors like they belong here… and goooooooooooooooi mielieeeeeessssssssss!
Regards,
@ Durban Bulle:
