The Sharks coach John Plumtree sprang a surpise or two as he named the Sharks team to face the Blue Bulls this coming weekend.

Two changes are to personnel and two are positional, as JP Pietersen returns after a long injury lay off and Rory Cockott makes way for Charl Mcleod.

Probably the most notable switch is young Patrick lambie moving from full back to inside center with Riann Swannepoel being dropped from the squad altogether.

Louis Ludick moves to his favoured full back position.

The Sharks team is:

15. Louis Ludik
14. JP Pietersen
13. Stefan Terblanche (Capt)
12. Patrick Lambie
11. Lwazi Mvovo
10. Steve Meyer
9. Charl McLeod
8. Keegan Daniel
7. Michael Rhodes
6. Jacques Botes
5. Alistair Hargreaves
4. Steven Sykes
3. Wiehahn Herbst
2. Craig Burden
1. Patric Cilliers

Replacements
16. Kyle Cooper
17. Eugene van Staden
18. Ross Skeate
19. Skholiwe Ndlovu
20. Rory Kockott
21. Monty Dumond
22. Andries Strauss

Sharky, losing Muller is a bonus, your team is better without him, the standard of rugby increased at Sharks and in UK.

    Stel dit so…

    Jantjies/Lambie
    Peterson/vd Heever
    Adi Jacobs*
    **
    Nokwe/Mapoe
    JL Potgieter
    Jano Vermaak/Sarel Pretorius
    Vermeulen/Alberts
    Juan Smit/Wikus vdH
    Heinrich Brussouw/Derrick Minnie/Stegman
    Anton van Zyl/Hargreaves
    Sykes/Steenkamp
    Kruger/Harris
    Liebenberg/Struass/Botha
    BJ/Blaauw

Blykbaar speel hy moer goed in Frankryk.

    @ Greenpoint-Gunner:
    Jy het Jean Deysel vergeet

    29 and onwards @ sharky_forever:
Tjarkie, old friend…. Bulls have 11 players at the Bokke, 1 banned, Fourie du Preez with a long term injury, Akona Ndungane also out with broken leg, Pedrie gone to Europe, Mangweni gone to Eastern Cape, Jaco Pretorius injured, Jaco Engels injured, Juandre Kruger injured….. so far from easy counting it makes at least 19 regular Bulls out…

So Bulls are playing with 3 Super 14 forwards starters and just 1 backline starter….

But hey, no excuses, our 6 th and 7th locks are better than Hargreaves, Bulls should have a slight advantage in the front row, loosies are roughly equal…

Backline Bulls have parity at scrummie, a better flyhalf, centres who are actually centres, wings who are wings and a solid Mr Miaggi at 15.

No Bulls excuses… none…. I back the Bulls to win!

See Sharks are messing about with players positions again. Why move Lambie to inside center when he was really great for us at FB in the S14?

If Lambie had to move a position then why not at FH?

Anyhow go Sharks. We do miss Deysel and Alberts I think also Kanko.
