All Blacks (20) 32 / Springboks (3) 12 (Final Score)
The All Blacks hosted the Springboks in Auckland, New Zealand at 09:35 SA Time. This is the match thread for discussion of the game. The match was broadcast live on SuperSport 1 on DSTV in SA.
The All Blacks comprehensively outplayed the Springboks and dominated all facets of play, even the lineouts and scored 4 tries to none.
The All Blacks won 32 / 12, a full 20-point margin seperating the sides.
Defensively the Springboks were found wanting on the outside channels and also allowing the All Blacks to speed up the game and run with their dangerous back three with great effect.
On the ground Read, McCaw and Kaino were masterful and Kevin Mealamu had a sterling game at hooker.
Back to the drawing board for the Springboks but some players still emerge with credibility, Zane Kirchner, Schalk Burger and Jaque Fourie.

@ grootblousmile:
Bonus points, GBS; Boks gotta keep on going, even if they are a beaten side in this match. One try and they’ll pump up.
Flok lees Bekker nie die game nie
Aplon on, Chili on, Wynand off and John Barney Smit off
Ek dink January het baie goed gespeel vandag
3 tries to none tells the story….
@ superBul:
Dink net as ons een van ons top tien skrumskakels gespeel het… 😉
@ grootblousmile:
Good move; now give the greyhound a fair chance and he won’t let you down. Smit off? Well, sorry, enough said.
Butch gets a talking too for getting involved in scuffles
NZ with a 5m scrum, they have outmuscled the Bokke
NZ looking for a 4th try.
@ vanStraaten:
van Straaten dis nou n low blow daai ek dag hy speel baie goed en jy se flokken subtiel dat 10 ander beter kon speel. 😀 Nee man kyk die game bietjie.
NZ attempting a push-over scrum… and nearly getting to go…
All Blacks totally outplayed us.
For Bokke Zane is my MOTM
Try NZ…. well this is a good drubbing boys and gals
Nou ja, alles ‘back to normal’, AB’s is ons baas.
As ons hul wen, is dit met ‘n gesukkel.
Hulle wen ons maklik-maklik, 4 driee teen geen.
‘n ______ pakslae
Al hoop wat ek sien, is dat ons span nog heelwat versterk kan word, die AB’s nie.
Ek groet nou manne ek ry net na die game Timbavati toe. ABs het vandag nie net gewen nie hulle het ons hele kasteel afgebreek.
Congrats to the All Blacks , you crushed us.
NZ 32 / 12
Final score
@ grootblousmile:
If you go back to the haka: did it finish with one knee on the ground while making a cutting motion across the chest/throat? ABs really meant business tonight; they feel their perceived world domination has been coming to an end. This haka is the player-designed model that pumps them into the unknown. Glad they used it tonight and not against the Wallas.
super
Geniet jou aand 😉
in ou arnold se woorde” i’ll (we’ll) be back!!
Flok ou Ash
It’s gonna take a hell of a terminator job !!!
168@ Old Griquas 14 in Sydney:
Did not notice…. put it this way, the AB’s dominated all over, almost in every single position and every game situation.
blouste @ 171
Very composed game by the All Blacks, congrats All Blacks supporters!
Might I just reiterate: one game does not a tournament make.
Boks will regroup; Bakkies has to go (unfortunately he’ll be rubbed out anyway). PdV needs and got a wake up call tonight – bring it on again next week. Cheers all and thanks GBS for keeping me up to date with the action.
gbs @ 172
agree … cant think of ONE bok player that had the better of his opponent!!
cheers griquas14
Ash
@ Ashley:
Cheers Ashley, it will be a better result next week, I’m certain.
