Springboks (25) 42 / France (10) 17 (Final score)
The Springboks hosted France at Newlands, Cape Town at 14:00 SA Time. This is the match thread for discussion of the game. The match was broadcast live on SuperSport 1 on DSTV in SA.
The Springboks came with a top game and stifled all French attempts early, also scored a try early (after 2 minutes by Pierre Spies) and then built up a solid lead.
The French never gave up and in the scrums they were strong, specially against BJ Botha ( SA Tighthead).
The Springboks finally won by 42 / 17, which must be one of the biggest Springbok wins (not the biggest though) over France.
Gio Aplon was rewarded with 2 tries and because of that received the Man of the Match award. Other standout players for the Springboks were Danie Rossouw and Francois Louw.

So whats with the blue tape on the neck?
This French side does not look very threatening to me, seem to be missing something.

LOL. Ja, nog ‘n voordeel om Januarie in jou span te hê, is gratis hamburgers vir die span by Steers, Wimpy, McDonalds, ens.
There is no comparison between Rugby and Soccer, boys and gals…. this is what I live for… and a few other things of course!
BlueBird – hideing lovebites lol. I told my Dad when a teenager i was hit by a squashball 😆
Januarie is good today, except for his kicking.
Make no mistake, this is still a very hard match!
@ grootblousmile:

@ Blue Bird:

earmarked for the Bulls, maybe
John Smit was very slow to tackle the French No 8… which helped result in the French try…
Not enough effort John!

Is Korea republic the one we know as South Korea?
if so Pietmans wife must be happy they lead Greece 2-0
@ superBul:
Not sure it will catch on as a fashion statement!!
Chilliboy is on…. who went off??
Hope the Frogs are kept in their place!!
Keep the pressure up Boks…..
Bakkies…Ahhh, so cute, could understand him quite well there!!!
Gurthro is still there… John Smit is off.
Good Bokke maul again…
Pakslae having a very good game
Eishhhhhhhh BJ Botha seems to be the weak link in the Bokke front row… Domingo chewing him up!
Hoop Snorre gee vir Werner ‘n kans teen Italië.
119@ bdb:
Ja, ek hoop ook so.
… en vir Gary Botha of Tiaan Liebenberg
BJ Botha injured…
