The Sharks make shift team on a very cold winters night in Nigel went on the rampage in their pre-season compulsary friendly.
The Sharks ran the ball from everywhere as they romped home in style beating the Valke by 80 points to 3, with many players sticking their hands up for consideration to the Sharks final squad as the Currie Cup season kicks off in a week or two’s time.
Botes scored a hat trick of tries as he showed great early season form with the likes of Keegan Daniel (2 tries ) joining him on the rampage, but it was a very complete performance with all the players showing hunger for victory.
Cockott and Meyer also combined well to give coach Plumtree some peace of mind as he plans the makeup of the Sharks squad.
