Just as well the Crusaders Captain Richie McCaw can think on his feet !

On Wednesday before the Brumbies game, while doing the chores of a mere mortal, he managed to give his passport a jolly good clean – in the washing machine ! A shocked McCaw retrieved his soggy, crumpled passport from the freshly washed laundry & had the foresight (plus confidence of needing to travel in the near future) to immediately lodge an emergency passport application.

A replacement arrived in time & the seven-time champions departed today to face the defending champion Bulls in a stellar semi-final at Soweto on Sunday morning, the top-qualifying South Africans sure to start favourites as they seek a third title in four years.
