Stormers (28) 38 / Bulls (3) 10 (Final Score)
The Stormers hosted the Bulls at Newlands, Cape Town at 17:05 SA Time. This is the match thread for discussion of the game. The match was broadcast live on SuperSport 1 on DSTV in SA.
The Stormers won the encounter by 38 / 10 and earned a bonus point in the process, elevating them to No 2 on the Log and also earning them a Home semi-final.
It was clear that the many changes the Bulls made, fielding a B-side made their cohesion less whereas the Stormers appeared to be a well oiled machine.
The Bulls B-side was not disgraced though and showed better form than at least 2 or 3 of the Super 14 teams who occupy the 12th, 13th and 14th spots on the Log.

236@ Tjarkie – Will see
Tryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy Snymannnnnnnnnnnnn
at last consolation try
Bulle het GROOT probleme op vleuel volgende week, nie Jaco of die jong oukie is reg nie.
Snyman lyk sommer baie beter as Heinie
@241, yes I know, its bloody awful, being beaten by a mere girl!!!
bidi speel daai ander swart oukie , hy is goed ,
this bulls team is still showing some guts
224 – Sharky, They still need to play Tahs and Saders. Both those teams yesterday had hard games and won very, very easy. So hoping we see a good game from both our home teams next week.
This game tells us nothing. Just rubbish to watch one team getting humiliated.
Stormers 38 / 10
Final Score Stormers 38 / Bulls B 10
good win for the stormers but was not unexpected
Hulle sê die span wat die laaste drie gedruk het gaan die s14 wen. 😉
GBS, Superbul….sorry brothers, but it is as you predicted, at least two home semi’s, make sure you klap the Crusaders…..and wake up some of the All Blacks.
4man, never mind, chin up, I will buy you a pint when we go and see the Boks next month!!
puma here is a fact , those kiwi and aussie teams have just gotten rid of the travel , well they flying back , thats not easy at all
the bulls will be fresh and ready
Well I got the win on bru but my margin. Phew!!!! OUT by 24.
Poor Bakkies, was this his first time as skipper?
i got 15 wins in a row now 😀
Blue Bird, thats a deal….only one?
Sharky!!! thats a good effort. I’ve been making my picks too early, but all things being equal I wont have to do that for much longer.
puma on SB in the last 25 games i have had only 1 loss with the damn lions who i thought might be ok against the force
if i went with force it would have been a straight 25 in a row
258 – Sharky, Tahs have been back in Oz for a bit. Only Saders had to travel back last week now again back on the plane here. The last time Saders had to do that was in 2007 and got beat by Bulls in the semi. Then they had hardly reached their peak. Many of their players were out of the S14 for 7 games. Saders are looking the real deal at the moment. Travel will be a huge factor and the biggest of all will be the altitude. They probably could struggle next week. Then they want revenge for last week losing to the Bulls. Going to be very tough. Tahs looked very good yesterday. Stormers had plenty rest tonight. Many players coming off early.
So GO THE BULLS – GO THE STORMERS. For next week.
Must say, Bakkies has improved as a speaker.
264 – Sharky, You have done well on Bru. I have been rubbish. Mostly going with my heart. Also got many games wrong. My first year playing S14 bru. Next year will go with my head….hehehe.
orlando Stadium!!
Thats like Sharks territory, Orlando Pirates traditionally made up of Zulu’s
ill be supporting saffas all the way
No surprises in the end. Bit too much for bulls fans to expect junior bulls to smoke the stompies at home 🙂
