Stormers (28) 38 / Bulls (3) 10 (Final Score)
The Stormers hosted the Bulls at Newlands, Cape Town at 17:05 SA Time. This is the match thread for discussion of the game. The match was broadcast live on SuperSport 1 on DSTV in SA.
The Stormers won the encounter by 38 / 10 and earned a bonus point in the process, elevating them to No 2 on the Log and also earning them a Home semi-final.
It was clear that the many changes the Bulls made, fielding a B-side made their cohesion less whereas the Stormers appeared to be a well oiled machine.
The Bulls B-side was not disgraced though and showed better form than at least 2 or 3 of the Super 14 teams who occupy the 12th, 13th and 14th spots on the Log.

next week should be some great rugga again
I’m not phased by this result, I was secretly praying the Stormers would not put 60 past a Bulls B-Team, before this game.
It was clear this Bulls B-Team did not have practised-in structure due to their short time together…. but the Bulls B controlled the last 15 or 20 minutes of this game…. that’s positive…
@296….GBS, your reaction shows you are not happy with the result as a Bulls fan, what you say we all know.
It goes to fundamental belief, do you field your best side all the time, or not.
I wasnt happy that the Sharks struggled against sub-standard teams, no matter how I could justify it.
You had your voting thing on the side and it showed most people supported the belief that the Bulls shouldnt field their first side, or best team, I voted the other, just my personal belief…..momentum and a winning culture is very important, it is exactly what guys like John Kehoe teaches along with a lot of other motivational experts.
Personally I think the Bulls have enough to win this again, but their chances would have been better if they fielded their best side today. JMPO.
I talk in the spirit of the game. 😉
Wie sal jy kies in Shadow se plek ?
Superbul….thats good news, I have a number of people interested in going to them and no doubt will be making bookings after the world cup.
again i agree rudi
the bulls started getting the better of the game the longer it went on
303@ Sammajoor – I’m happy…. I wanted 2 SA sides with home semi’s, go have a look at my first few comments on this thread….
I said as much to KingPaul and some of my other friends, that it would be better if the Stormers won…. ask Paultjie…
Mangweni
302 – gbs, Just as a example. See on voldy. (Stormers Bash Bulls) That is the headline there. Then in small it says 2nd bulls side. That kinda thing I am talking about. The mind games will start. The mental thing is huge. Tomorrow papers will say the same thing. Stormers have gained the mental edge over Bulls after this game. Even if it was their 2nd side. Bulls 1st side though will be raging and wanting a real go if both teams make the final. So let us hope they both do.
Next weeks game agains the Saders is massive too. So really hoping the Bulls come out with fire. The Saders too want revenge for the game they lost last week. Though now to travel back is huge. I thought they would be tired yesterday they showed no signs of it. The thing that will get Saders is travel combined with altitude. Bulls should win that one and then I am hoping really hoping Stormers make the final. So we can see a really great game between the full strength Bulls and Stormers which we thought we would see a month back today, but never.
@307….cool.
Right ek gaan nou in die sonnetjie sit en b&llasbak.
Geniet die res van die naweek.
Saracens to nail Northampton and Bath to put one over Leicester tomorrow, so our two Saffa sides here can have a final against each other.
310 – 4man, Cheers enjoy it.
gbs, What time is the two semi finals on next week?
Okay only me here. Back tomorrow.
Cheers all.
Good luck to BULLS AND STORMERS FOR NEXT WEEK SEMI.
GO THE SAFFA TEAMS.
4man i must really tell you more about this place there is so much to do here
mametsa is beter rudi

29 May Winner SF1 v Winner SF2 00:00
Weet net nie of daar genoeg spoed is nie. Jammer dat Mametsa nou beseer is.
17h00 en 19h10
315@ Tjarkie – Mametsa is injured…
Bulls vs Crusaders at 17:05
Stormers vs Waratahs at 19:10
I would have moered the hell out of the Stormers today with a team that rested at most 5 Bulls. Then take their sore bodies and broken souls on in Soweto.
Lucky i am not the coach
320 – gbs, So Bulls do play first? Damn thought they play 2nd that was according to Supersport. The 1st and 4th play 2nd. That means Bulls have Dickinson and Stormers have Mark Lawrence.
Also that is eating time in our hotel. My better half wont want to watch rugby on holiday when it is dinner time. Bugger better eat quick. I want to watch that semi if we get it on tv there. Two hours ahead of us where I am going. So hope to see the Bulls game.
Okay out of here now.
Good luck to both Saffa teams.
pity about mametsa he was playing good rugga
321 – Super, Should have only rested the top players. Kept 7 for the bench. My feeling then 7 still would only have played 40 min and had enough rest.
Just hope they beat the Saders now and can face Stormers in the final. Want to see a all saffa final. Hoping. Maybe one of the saffa teams get knocked out next week. Really hope not.
Okay out of here now. Catch up tomorrow.
dag pietie 😆
what happen to mametsa?
Johann Fourie, if you read this mate. You were right. It is 1st and 4th that play first up next week. Bulls do get Dickinson like you said. I was wrong. Well supersport had it wrong.
Okay now out of here. Catch up tomorrow.
Howzit Sharky!
Piet hello and bye. Hope you well.
Okay catch up tomorrow.
