    To add, JS is paying dearly for the shifting from pillar to post by his two major coaches.

    His captaincy was not great for the Sharks this year.
    He can not be used this way again if we want him to lead the Springboks to a WC.
    Some of the younger hookers went past him at a serious rate.
    Loosehead is the only place he must concentrate on and fight his way past Steenkamp.

    Let me be blunt, SA can do better without a John Smit in his current form.

    I said the unthinkable now , but watch it. I might be the first who saw the writing on the wall. John looked bad yesterday when he left the field. Maybe he is injured or just fed up with Plumtree. Time will tell.
