morning all in rugby talk land…. A big last day is the super 14 2010 season is awaiting us…. Think its gonna be a very interesting day as well…. My question is just the following. Does the bulls actually want to win this one? Loose we play the crusaders that has to return to sa after they just left is SA the week before and then set us up to play the stormers in the final? Or play the stormers in the semi that needs to take a flight from the cape to O R Thambo?????
but i pic the blues to take this one
DB, see you moved up to 3rd in the global standings, great keep it going. We will have to use your picture for promotional material. Hope you read the fine print. 😆
DB, same here, Blues should take it with little effort, but you never know with Derby’s hey?
lol superbul….thanks…. Just want 2 pip the two stormers in front of me should do that with the final….. Just a reminder to all the semi a win is worth 2 points and the final is worth 3 points for the win…..
true saint… Local derby can go anyway……
Do I get breakfast?
7@ Pam – Skryf dit op jou linkerbors en vee dit met jou regterbors af!
Hehehe
Oh… and top of the morning to all Rugby-Talkers…
8 – ???
Does that mean you don’t respect me anymore?
Bore da GBS.
10@ Pam – No, I do… You are TWO of my best friends… hehehe
No… in fact, I’m a “Small Breast” type of guy…. meer as ‘n behoorlike mondvol is ‘n mors van vleis!
Wat is dit met ouens wat van mooooooooooosa baluba boobs hou…. daai goed is of artificial (hey Pam) of hulle hang
Well I can do pressups without using my arms :-;
Flok, let me go grab a bowl of breakfast….
Whats the feeling out der in rugby talk land with the reds vs highlanders and the cheetahs vs the lions?
Reds and Cheetahs. Lions couldn’t buy a win.
i picked the cheetahs but think the lions might just pull this one off…. they have to get a win somewhere this season and this is their last chance….lol….will be very bad to go 13 down…spears on their backs for a place in the super 15 at the moment……feelings on that?
15@ Deben – Blues are going to klap the Chiefs to kingdom come…. should be a big winning margin
Reds / Highlanders is difficult because the Reds have had to make 6 changes, so injuries are finally taking it’s toll on a squad with a good starting 15 but with a lack of depth….. Reds should still take it though, by how much is a mere guess.
Cheetahs will bury the Lions…. Just compare the Lions team to the Bulls B-side to see why they are so crap… there is MUCH less quality in the whole Lions squad than fielded in the Bulls B team, much less… Cheetahs by 25 or so.
GBS i agree 100% just think the lions might just be the upset of the weekend but as i said i picked the cheetahs
DB – no chance of a Lions win. The Spears idea is like having a hooker living next door – everone talks about it but don’t really want it.
17@ Deben – Kings deserve to play above a relegated Lions side now!
Bring a few overseas guys back PLUS buy a couple of local stars….. then you instantly have an excellent core. One needs a solid core of players to venture into a Super Competition…
Draw a couple of fringe players from the Bulls, Sharks, Stormers…. see to it that you have depth in the squad…. and they’ll be competative.
Good morning Rugby Talkers
Lions have Wikus to lead them, and in all the games they played the Cheetahs the margin was small. But i think the Cheetahs have a stronger team, and Kimberly is not for sissies.
Result Marginometer
2009 Lions 34 – 28 Cheetahs Johannesburg Won by 6
2008 Cheetahs 22 – 23 Lions Bloemfontein Won by 1
2007 Lions 10 – 16 Cheetahs Johannesburg Lost by 6
2006 Cheetahs 28 – 23 Cats Bloemfontein Lost by 5
1997 Cheetahs 20 – 24 Gauteng Bloemfontein Won by 4
With the crybaby out and Wikus leading they have a 50% better chance i wanted to add.
Can someone pls help me with my maths ?
Even if Reds win with a bonus point & Stormers lose by more than 7 & with only 3 tries they will be equal, so then are measured by net For /Against points are they not ? If yes, Stormers still win spot #4 & if not … then how is it calculated ?
Let a Transvaler, Willa tell you what they feel about the game.
There’s so much negativity over the Lions, and I for one am really fed up about reading how poor we are and that we don’t belong in Super rugby. So, let’s change it up. After all, this is a Lions website.
The Lions will pitch up on Saturday and they will give the Cheetahs one mighty pasting. Playing against a South African side is an emotional affair. Currie Cup is around the corner and what better way to prepare for it than to beat a South African side.
The Cheetahs are a very dangerous side. But the question is can they produce another intensive performance after putting in two great ones against the Blues and the Force? I don’t think so.
Our forwards will be up for it and our backs will be putting in some hard hits. Confidence will be high playing against players not of international standard. Yes, they’ve won more games than us, but that doesn’t mean that they’re so much better. They’re a side with no real big name barring Juan Smith. And that in itself gives the opposing player confidence.
With some players joining the Lions ahead of the Currie Cup, this is the last opportunity for a couple of guys to prove that they belong in the set-up.
As it is the final game of Super 14 rugby ever, and I believe the Lions will not end this season without winning a single game, I will back the Lions to win by 10 or more….just because I can.
RP – stop confusing me.

Points difference will count
Pam
You are too smart to play the “dumb” card … You are also not female 😉
SuperB
So Stormers are definitely in then – yes ?
166 plus for Stormers
and
56 plus for Reds
means that somehow the Reds need a massive win if the Stormers lose.
28
RP i would bet , they are in.
Reds win by 60 and Stormers lose by more than 40 , then there is trouble.
or
Stormers lose by 10 , the reds must win by 90
