Usually this is not my style, because The Saint, as I refer to myself in third person, prides himself on delivering original contributions every time. However, I feel that many of my fellow-Stormers might be flying a bit high, and in the process confuse form with invincibility, and that could be a huge mistake. I have taken this piece from Fox Sports, just to show, that we, here in the Republic, are the only ones raving about the Stormers, elsewhere, we don’t hardly exist.
Article & Comments originally from Fox Sports – Australia
The Adjudicator says: “Geez, there are some nice games this weekend. And whereas it was hard to find a kind word to say about the first game between the Chiefs and the Cheetahs, this is a different story altogether. The Adjudicator is pumped about this match-up. If you weren’t a believer in the Reds before, then last week should have done the trick for you. It did for me! I’m officially on board the Reds bandwagon. I hope I’m not the kiss of death on them but the finals must be looking very appetising in Brisbane at the moment. Can you imagine the Reds leading three Australian-based teams into the final four? The Stormers have a horrid draw to finish up with so they will be desperate but it’s hard to go past the Reds in this form.”

Dorian TK Padgham says: Senor A, I along with many others have jumped on board the Reds bandwagon, as they are the hottest ticket in town at the moment. The champagne rugby they played last week was some of the best I’ve seen in a very, very, long time! ( Wink wink to my Saffa rugby brothers ) – the bulls looked like cows, as the Reds ran them off their pretty hoofs. The big question that seems to be on everyone’s boots is; Are this mongrel group of outcasts and misfits a one-shot-stevie-wonder? Or are they serious title contenders? The Stormers will be the perfect litmus test for this, as it will question them more than a tiger woods judiciary. eds to win at home by 12.
Reds fan Brendan says: This game will be great. Both the Reds and Stormers had great games last weekend. The stormers, on tour, have faced a terrible Force team and lost, beat a team that’s inconsistent (Blues – certainly not the best attacking team this season Thys Coetzer), and then beat a team that can’t win at home (Chiefs). Not to sound like the Bulls fans from last week, but the Stormers haven’t had too much opposition this tour. I’d like to think the Reds will win this game on determination, tactics, the home crowd, and an attacking style of football the Stormers have yet to play against this season. Last week I predicted the Bulls would be pressured into making mistakes because of an ineffective game plan. I’d like to see the same this week with the Stormers.
Reds fan Edward says: Power and Passion two words to describe the Reds performance against the Bulls on the weekend, you could probably throw Predictable in there also. Did you see the grin on Laurie Weaks face at half time!! He didn’t look tired he looked like a man who was enjoying his rugby and wanted more!! This week sees the Reds at there warm home again, the equation is simple – we will be too strong at the break down (By the way bravo Ewen McKenzie – They are getting cleaner ball than the Wallabies) and this will again see Genia and Cooper running riot through the Stormers backline, maul, line-out, fringes of the ruck – well you name it – these boys will make space from nothing and from no where. I am really looking forward to seeing what backline move they go with from the first set play. I bet every backline in the Super 14 has something drop into their undies when they are defending Reds set play, Stormers will be no different. Reds by 18 with a 4 Try BP. C’arn Reds!!.
Reds fan Inkosi says: Well I must say I did enjoy re-reading all those posts from the Week 10 round up! All the hyped up “what are you smoking” comments. After watching the game it looked like the Bulls had had a coof at half time on some good old Durban Poison and didn’t know which way to stumble. What a totally one sided affair. Still was a great game. I think the Stormers game will be a bit closer (seeing that Reds should have had an extra 3 or 4 tries easily – letting the Dutchies off there!) To Ryno Jacobs, Geoff, Ivan Nel, Bulls fan Glenn, Bulls fan Jacques, Raving Bulls fan JP Rheeder, Stormers fan Andrzej Kowalski & Demetri how was that humble pie on Sunday morning?
Reds fan Matt from the Gold Coast says: Ahhhhhh how good it is to finally be able to dust of the QR reds jersy and wear it with pride again! for way to long it has been….. hmmm appears it has shrunk. Could the reds be in with a chance this year? I dare not to dream, for to many years we have been promised so much and been kicked in the face with ineptitude, lack of commitment and passion for what is a proud jersy!! This year however shows us the true reds, a never say die team that actually believs it CAN win against any team, no matter what the score. The reds are finding ways to win where in previous years they found ways to lose. This shall be another tight affair but i think the reds are just showing to much belief and confidence to lose. Reds fan James of Sydney says: What an effort from the Reds on Saturday. To all those Bulls fans who demonstrated cried and nay-said all last week when the Reds faithful pointed out the strength and heart of the Reds and the over-hyping and over-rating of the Bulls, we salute you. It made the Red’s dominant victory all the sweeter. I only feel sorry for those Reds fans that missed out on seeing the game, (like my good friend Reds fan Geoff who chose to have a romantic evening in with his long time girlfriend Kim rather than watch the game… he picked the wrong night to propose marriage) because they missed a cracker. Stormers fans this week beware, there is a rampaging Red pack and a lightning fast backline heading your way. We bleed Red, because Red is rugby.

OK, I was also away when the Lions fans left this site. I did see one or two posts on RT last night that indicated some lingering discontent. Agh, anyway it easy to start a war but far more difficult to stop it….
@ fender
I can assure you I am in no sort of war, or for that matter intending on starting one…
Make LOVE not WAR 😉
32: dankie, nou verstaan ek ook beter.
Bulle het so stadig gehardloop die naweek, dalk as ek bandwydte vinniger maak, hardloop hulle sommer vinniger ook ! 😉
35@ BiDiBiDi – In daai geval, kry vir jou 3 DSL 4096 lyne, uncapped… hehehehe
