    GBS

    Some new for you.

A scandal has jst broken out in rugby league here. In particular the Melbourne storm…the only league team in Melbourne.
In a nutshell the team has been caught breaking the salary cap over the past five years. Cops have been called in due fraud and mismanagement at its highest. The team have lost all their premierships (2) over the last 5 years and 3 minor premierships.

Why I am highlighting this…the CEO of the rebels was the Melbourne Storms Ceo last year covering the 5 yars when melbourne were dominant and in breach of the law and salary cap.

  • 107

Will Rebels CEO abdicate before he even starts..was he involved? He had to know something!!

  • 108

106@ Walla – Very interesting, do me a favour and mail me a full Article on the matter, you have my details already, otherwise just send it to webmaster@rugby-talk.com

    Thanks for the heads up.

It would probably not attract much interest, Rugby League is tiny in SA, but the reference to next year’s Melbourne Rebels and their CEO deserves a good mention.

  • 109

    GBS

It roke out late this afternoon so investigations have just started. Cops have been called and I reckon the Rebels CEO will be called in to explain/defend.

Will copy an article but dont think anything has been mentioned of him yet.

  • 110

109 – Howzit Walla, How you see your team go against the Tahs this week?

  • 111

    Puma

I just need to tip against them this weekend and they will win.

I am tipping against them this weekend. The waratahs will be too good for them.

I am struggling to determine who will win in the stormers game…too contrasting games it will be about who will get their game underway early on.

I am slightly thinking the Reds due the stormers thinking they have done enough on tour…they will conspire to lose.

  • 112

too constrasting games = 2 contrasting styles.

CEO of Rebels is likely to step down before he has started..Oneill will not tolerate what has just happened…new CEO of rebels has been implicated in the biggest rugby league scandal.

  • 113

That is of course my opinion..CEO stepping down.

  • 114

111 – Walla, I have Tahs to win. Then I am useless at this predicting thing. So now think the Brumbies will win 😀

Have Stormers by 4. Also once I put in my picks thought maybe it could be Reds now…..hahaha. Suppose you never know. Stormers keep possession think they will win, but that Red team have their tails up and will want this one bad. So think that will be a cracker of a game.

Also hope my Sharks can win, now doubting it with Strauss there. So wish we still had Frans Steyn at inside centre. Wonder if Mvovo can play there? Anyone but Strauss.

  • 115

On the rugby league footy show…commentator has just revealed that journalists are hunting down Brian Waldron and he (commentator)will be surprised that Brian waldron will still have his job at the rebels before the sun rises tomorrow morning.

  • 116

    Puma

My connundrum (sp) is the stormer strength is the set pieces and one of them is the line out. The will kick for line outs territory. Reds will try to run these. If stormers persist then they will be in for a long night.
Stormers will need to move into a flat defense very quickly to cover the reds wide running.

Tell you what…I pick Reds and you pick stormers and who ever loses owes the other a beer when we meet…who about that?

  • 117

Rebels CEO will be stepping down before he has even started.

  • 118

116 – Walla that is a deal. I have Stormers by 4 already. Must say when I had put in my picks thought maybe Reds by 4. Just that Stormers were very good against the Blues. That is what made my mind up with Stormers. Chiefs they have far too many injuries to really look at that game. Rather look back to the way they played the Blues who are far better than the Chiefs.

  • 119

    Puma

Too true the stormers are good and were very good vs the blues.

  • 120

Gbs, see Davies is out of the Reds side injured after the Bulls game.

So two injuries to the Reds after playing the Bulls.
