    30: Hallo en goodbye Asblik.

Listen Wallabie, you uneducated git, for the 700th time. I DID NOT WRITE THAT ARTICLE!!! IT WAS WRITTEN BY SUPERBUL!

In fact, I said, don’t get ahead of ourselves.

Geez man, check your authors before going off at a tangent!

    môre ben!!

Just for the record, I grovel to no-one, I didn’t expect the Stormers to lose, but that being said, we are not out of the game yet.

I thought the Stormers played some very iffy rugby, seemed like the Stormers of 2009 all over again, gone was the structure, gone was the build-up, maybe just in time though, should put things into perspective.

I for one take my hat off to the Reds, I seriously underestimated them. Still, can’t see them keep up this intensity. Friday’s game is usually what happens when two good sides meet, I wouldn’t go as far as saying that the Reds put the Stormers away, I think is was an even battle, with Ewan Mckenzie being the superior strategist this time round.

  • 35

34 – Saint, Reds have Brumbies and Landers to play. They will beat both those teams. The only tough game should come from the Canes and think the way the Reds are playing the Canes could beat them too.

Reds will be in the semi. Tahs have Landers to play and should pick up 5 points there. They too have Canes to play their only tough game. Not sure who the other team is going to check now.

Stormers have 3 tough games coming up though think Stormers will beat the Saders this week. Not sure if Carter will play either, is he not injured?

  • 36

The other game the Tahs have to play is against the Chiefs in NZ. They will beat the Chiefs. Chiefs are terrible at the moment too many injuries.

So Tahs and Reds may both pick up 10 points from here. Both could lose the Canes then again they both could beat the Canes.

Think Tahs and Reds will be in the semi.

    Puma

The Reds has the easiest run-in, agreed, however, don’t discount a derby match. As for the Highlanders, yes they should lose against the Tahs and the Reds, however, there is some spark there still, they looked good against the Canes.

I am only saying this because everyone said it to me last week. Has the Reds peaked already, or is the peak still coming?

  • 38

37 – Saint, The Reds have their tails up they will beat the Brumbies they should have beaten the Tahs at the start too. This is a very, very good team. I think they the best team in Oz at the moment. Jeepers never thought I would have seen that but they are.

Tahs will get another two wins too.

Our derby games are the toughest in the world. Bulls/Stormers on the 15th that will be a monster. Also Sharks/Bulls/Stormers all those games will be tough. Though Sharks could lose our backs are terrible except for Ruan who is playing superb rugby at the moment and Lambie has made a huge, huge difference at the back. Should have had him playing there from the start. Pity JPP is injured would have liked to see Mvovo play instead of Strauss or Sefan at 13 or 12. Think he would be better there than both of them even if he is a wing.

  • 39

Can honestly say that I didn’t watch enough Rugby to make any calls this week.

In fact after my Moronic Lions capitulated so easily I grabbed a bottle of OBS, lit a fire in the freekin cold and burnt some cow.

Didn’t even bother checking the Sharks final score.

When are the Plonkers in Doornfontein going to jump off Ponte Tower and put the long suffering fans out of their misery?

One bright glimmer on the horizon is that our club had a clean sweep for the second week in a row.

    Congratulations to all involved.

  • 40

    Saint

Dont feel bad – one simply cannot rely on convicts to do the right thing. I cannot believe the Saders capitualted to the Western Farce with fatty bum sticks on the front row … All in all a dire weekend 😥

  • 41

Also, dont be surprised if the Brumbies bounce back at home this week & peg the Reds ears back a bit 😉

  • 42

    Puma 23

On current form and closing matches…the Reds is my pick for this weekend.

Crusaders – if they play at altitude for their first game ie Bulls…then they are more than likely to take the Stormers game. If it were Stormers then Bulls then they are likely to lose both.
I always believe travelling to RSA your first game is rough after the journey and then altitude is the other factor. If you can get the altitude game as your first game then the second game at low altitude is a breeze.
Even with these factors Crusaders can do it. The Force have always been the Crusaders Bogey side and the Bulls and Stormers will be best advised to keep their hopes at ground level.

    Crusaders vs Stormers = Crusaders
    Crusaders vs Bulls = Bulls
    Sharks vs Stormers = Sharks
    Sharks vs Bulls = Sharks

  • 43

    The Saint 37

I think going by your track record you need to pipe it down a bit 😆

Talk about peaking have the stormers and Bulls peaked…after their loss against the Reds??

  • 44

    #42
are you trying to open the way for your brumbies to reach the semis? 😀

  • 45

    #43

Maybe the Stormers peaked against the Chiefs, I don’t know, who knows what caused the implosion this weekend?

Obviously you think the Stormers are done, you might be right, but it won’t be the first time that the Crusaders came down to Cape Town to lose.

  • 46

    The Saint 34

Who said you had to grovel…you coming back after your hefty predictions makes groveling second nature to you.
Thats why you wont know the difference!!
    😆

  • 47

    #46

For crying out loud…what hefty predictions? R1000.00 to the first guy, that shows me the post where I said the Stormers can’t lose.

  • 48

I dont think the Stormers are done mate.

I support the stormers as my RSA side. Support the Crusaders as my NZ side and then I have the Brumbies.

  • 49

I predict the Lions will snatch defeat from the jaws of victory in 2 of their last 3 games against the Force on Sat’ and the Cheetahs in Kimberley, thereby guaranteeing the worst ever Super 14 showing by any team in the history of the competition!

    Well Done Kevin and Manie.

  • 50

    The Saint

Did you not post the article…”The Stormers WILL crush the Reds”.

How do you want me/others to interpret this?

When I challenged that statement there was nothing from you to clarify your statement other than you said ….you (wallabie) dont rate the stormers and I (The saint) dont rate the Reds.
You then kept quiet which made me think you were waiting and really HOPING a win of any sort materialised so you can make a counter claim.

You caps locked “WILL” and then wrote “crush” next to it…is that not a HEFTY prediction?

There was no mention of the likelyhood the Stormers may lose…nothing!!

This is not an argument on my behalf…I am just laughing…heaps!!
I dont support the Reds either…which this makes it funnier.

It was easy for my to put forward a more logical anal;yses than what you put forward…

  • 51

    The saint

    It seems its my Bad!!

My apologies…someone told me Superbul and you were of the same person different nics.

    I will check that out.

  • 52

51@ Walla – Assumption is the mother of all farkups…

I can clearly confirm that The Saint and SuperBul are 2 distinctly different people!

SuperBul lives in Hoedspruit, on the edge of the Kruger National Park, and is a staunch Bulls supporter, whereas The Saint is an Ex-Provincial prop who lives in the Ermelo or surrounding area in Mpumalanga… and of course he is a very biased Stormpoppies Supporter.

  • 53

Superbul…has the best life…living on the border of Kruger.

That sorted out…tell him he has been seeing too much sun predicting crushing wins.

  • 54

42 – Walla, If it goes the way you say there, with Stormers losing to Sharks and Saders don’t think they will make the semi then. If it goes like that. Remember Stormers still have to play Bulls at Newlands too.

If Saders play the way they played against the Force they will lose to both the Stormers and Bulls.

Saders play the Stormers first at Newlands this week and Bulls the following week.

  • 55

    #51

Thank you Walla, at last the confusion is cleared up, I purposefully try to avoid crazy statements about my team.

  • 56

    53
Walla look at the article again

“Others mince their words, why? I say it as it is. Adnaan Mohamed in Die Son had this to say”
The Son is a South African newspaper and Adnaan Mohamed a reporter there. I took most from the article from there to show the view of some of the Cape supporters belief in their team. Saint immediately responded that he is keeping his feet on the ground and disagreed with that article.

Here is a link back to the whole article

  • 57

Not sure how everyone votes here. BUT go look on rugby365 Lambie was voted best FB out of the whole S14 teams this past weekend.

John Smit was 2nd from all of the S14 teams at LH on rugby365.

  • 58

Zane Kirchner set up a crucial try (the first one). That in itself made him the better performing fullback.

  • 59

Obviously a majority Blou Nulle supporter vote. Yawn.

  • 60

Zane had a cracker of a game Saturday, made Shaddow’s 1st try and was also resposible for the last pass to Shaddow’s 2nd try.

    Solid, no errors!!
