A lot of debate has been doing the rounds in terms of whom the more successful team in Super Rugby is…
We all know about the Crusaders incredible record in the tournament, and other teams have thrown in their weight aswell. But history is exactly that…history ,so what’s the most recent tendencies.
Here are some interesting reading I came across on “Pick & Go” website
Even with the Bulls dismal performances in earlier years in the Super Rugby tournament they have managed to take pole position in a log that works on the same principal as the IRB World Rankings. Teams like the Brumbies and Waratahs also suprise in relatively high log positions, and even the Stormers who has only recently hit the right note are well on the up.
Note that these rankings are all the way back, since the start of the 1996 Super 12 tournament up untill now.
This can be compared to NZ topping the world rankings more often than not although they have’nt seen the World Cup trophy in some 23 years, but the form team over the last period of time will be the team most rewarded.
Position | Team (History) |
Ranking Points | Last RPE Movement |
“This is pick & go’s new Super Rugby ranking table
which shows the ranking point positions of each team since the first Super12 match in 1996.Each team started on 80 points and they move up and down relative to each other using the same points exchange system that the IRB use for ranking Test matches.Exchange points are doubled for semis & finals.”

Log coutesy of “Pick & Go”
In terms of trophy winners in Super rugby here are the list.
Crusaders = 7
Blues = 3
Brumbies = 2
Queensland = 2
Transvaal = 1
Bulls = 2
Although the Crusaders have clearly topped the before mentioned list, are teams like the Bulls realisticly making a shift as far as tournament domination are concerned?
I think the answer is clearly yes at this point in time, but the question remains… Can they build on recent and past success…?
2010 will be another building block towards this goal should the Bulls be successful in defending their title…
85 – Blouste, If Sharks can beat Reds they will do Stormers and Bulls a huge favour. So hoping we can. Bulls will beat the Reds though, really don’t see Bulls losing to them. Though if they beat Sharks they will beat the Lions too and Reds will have their tails up for sure.
Agree they have a great coach this year.
Puma, when will Lambie be leaving ?
ninny woman you are soooooooooooooo in trouble 😆
Sharky sounds like my kind of fun lol
Lambie has been outstanding for me this year…well in the 2 games 🙂
He might not have the big boot of F.Steyn but his positional play at FB has been exceptional so far.
Safe under the high ball and shows real commitment.
A true talent for the future !!!
@ 95 😆 !!!
But serious now, the Bulls have a good chance of looseing a game at some time and that is not slagging them off, but natural i think, so which game is it likely to be ????????
90 – Sharky, Ag really not interested in them. They can say what they like… 🙄
Never even looked in there since Sunday. Only saw that someone on Sharksworld said that Lamie is off to train with the u20’s and it was on voldy so went to read that thread. Now Treehugs, mentioned some fighting going on there with the normal suspects…haha. So just had a quick look. That sort of thing puts me right off of ever going back there really. Enjoying this blog a lot and Sharksworld nice to talk to just sharkies supporters a bit too.
Not sure how John can be the cause of Ruan losing form? Huge mystery that. He said Ruan was a quota player, so why take him serious 😉
See that it could be Strauss at 13 this week. What you think?
96 – Blouste, Lambie is fearless under the high ball, how he gets so high up is astonishing. He is only 1.77m tall. Very safe hands. Great find for us, should have started with him from the start of the S14.
@ 98 Hugs – First game of S14 2012 😆
92 – Blouste, He will play this week. Seems like he will be gone when we have our bye the next week and the week we play the Lions. That is if he goes. Just read that he was selected for the u20’s. To train with them after the Reds game for two weeks. Then think he will be back with the team. Does he have to go and train with the u20’s? What happens if Sharks want him for the game against the Lions? So not sure really.
Skinny dipping…
A farmer had a small pond on his farm beside an orchard. One day he took a large bucket and went to the orchard to pick fruit.
As he approached the pond, he heard women shouting and laughing.
Then he saw a crowd of young women skinny-dipping in his pond.
When the women saw him, they all went to the deep end. One of themcalled to him, “We’re not coming out until you leave!”
The man replied, “I didn’t come down here to watch you ladies skinny-dipping or to make you get out of the pond naked.” Holding the bucket uphe shouted, “I’m here to feed the crocodile.”
Some men certainly think fast..
Blouste 😆
Ok am out of here Byeeeeeeee

Cheers Treehugger…Keep well 🙂
Ok…I’ll put mine on the blog to chop 😆
Bulls will take it this weekend against the Blues !!!
hey guys
hope someone can help me
i’m looking for the dstv dish than one can take on camping trips
does anyone know what its called
and
if any franchise hires it out for short periods?
111: Gaan ‘n riller wees.
