This Thread will be updated as more Teams are announced for the weekend.
VRYSTAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT! For now.
No Sharks team announced yet, not surprised we announce out team last…..hahaha.
Stefan will earn his 100th Super Cap for the Sharks this weekend. A great achievment.
At least the Lions won’t take a reaming with a sex toy the size of a fire extinguisher this week!
😆 scrummy
I would like to say now I can see the team announcements I will make my picks……
However my picking is not quite so scientific!! 😆
6 – Blue Bird, How you doing? You must be only a hour behind us now? Is your weather getting any better?
I will pick tomorrow. Need to see the Sharks team. Though will still go with Sharks. It could go either way really. Reds are playing good rugby and we had to travel.
Hi Puma, would you believe as I pulled up our drive it started to snow….Arghhh…so fed up of winter.
Going out to dinner tonight, so I will have a look at the teams tomorrow. What has happened, you have overtaken me on Superbru!!
Must fly….till tomorow!
8 – Blue Bird, Snow!!! That is kinda late in the season, wow!! you must be fed up with winter, like I am fed up with the heat….hahaha. Though we had some thunderstorms these past few days.
Think you went against my Sharkies…hehehe.. 😉 I had them by 2 so climbe a bit. Wont last long. Not good at this prediction thing.
Enjoy your evening.
I saw this Preview 0n rugby 3six5.
Hope this comes true, we must break down all the records, too many ugly ones against us. Lets make history Bulls, get your first win.
Saturday, April 3:
Blues v Bulls
(Eden Park, Auckland – 17.30, 04.30 GMT)
Who can stop the Bulls?
They’ve played six, won six and have accumulated 28 log points from a possible maximum 30.
They have have now won 12 Super 14 games in a row since their 31-32 defeat to the Brumbies in Canberra on April 17 last year, and they have developed an impressive efficiency to match their talent and flair.
They may concede more points than some other champion teams, but they certainly know how to score more points than the oppostion and how to win matches.
Their recent record in the Super 14 and in the Currie Cup has been wonderful.
But the reality of their next game up is that in eight visits to Auckland, they have never succeeded in beating the Blues.
And Bulls head coach Frans Ludeke has had a tough time of it in Australasia, since his team’s win over the Force last weekend was a mere third victory in 19 matches for him in Australia and New Zealand as a Super Rugby coach, with the Lions and now with the Bulls.
Since the advent of the Super 14 in 2006, the Bulls have lost seven out of 10 matches in New Zealand, with one draw and only two wins. Their record in the Super 12 was worse, with a miserable record of three wins in 26 matches in New Zealand.
Can this Bulls team start rewriting the record books for the franchise in Australasia?
Bulls forwards’ coach and technical advisor Johann van Graan says the Blues biggest threat remains their All Black-laden forward pack. He points out that with an all-All Black front row of Tony Woodcock, Keven Mealamu and John Afoa, scrums will be fiercely contested and the Blues line-outs are now also a strength in their game.
And they have also taken to employing the driving maul to great effect.
“The Blues do have some incredible backs, but it is that pack, with all those All Blacks, that lay the platform,” says Van Graan.
He says the Bulls will employ the same game plan as in their first six matches “but we must just ensure our execution is better than it was against the Western Force”.
The Blues are too talented a group of players to be satisfied with ninth place on the log and with having won only three games out of six. They’ve conceded 16 more points than they’ve scored, and need desperately to win this game to revive semi-final aspirations.
They have the pack to match the Bulls for possession and the backs to cause huge problems for the Bulls sometimes brittle defence.
Rene Ranger has been something of a revelation in the first half of the tournament in the manner of his cutting of opposition defences. Can he rip the Bulls defence apart as well?
Their Eden Park crowd would be delirious with delight if the Blues were to be the first team to beat the Bulls in almost a year.
Super 14 results:
2009: Bulls won 59-26 (Pretoria)
2008: Blues won 23-21 (Auckland)
2007: Bulls won 40-19 (Pretoria)
2006: Blues won 30-17 (Auckland)
rugby365.com Prediction: The Blues will give it a full go, with a take-no-prisoners approach. But the Bulls are just too strong in all areas of the game and are unlikely to lose their unbeaten record on Saturday. They should succeed in beating the Blues for the first time ever in Auckland – perhaps by 15 points.
Go Bulls!!
Go Stormers!
Go Sharks!
Go Staat!

Odwa Ndungani on outside centre !!!??? 😯
Surely this is another April’s fool Fires…
Kockett at 10 😆
superBul 11.
superNul 11,
Ek reken rugby365 se ouens is gerook, Bulls wen met 15, I think not…..ten sy hulle in ag neem dat dit weer ‘n saffa ref is. 😀
Hulle druk baie driee, maar lek net so baie…
I see Goode will play on Saterday.
Although I dont rate him at FH I think this is good for the Sharks.
Ruan must get settled at scrumhalf now…
Played rather well there last week.
Did’nt he play scrumhalf in all the games the Sharks won this year?
Stand to be corrected…
Flok, the Tharks are once again last to announce their Team…. hope Vuurtjie’s team gets selected…. hehehe
blouste @ 20
😯
“bal in hand”
