    Super,

If that is how we must do it then sure, I can do that.

The link between ‘form’ and team however throws me and puts me off picking guys who did not have good form to start with.

But if we had to pick the best of the lot regardless I suppose we could do that.

My revised team will then look like this…

    1. Guthro
    2. Bismarck
    3. Kruger
    4. Danie
    5. Victor
    6. Botes
    7. Minnie
    8. Spies
    9. Ruan
    10. Morne
    11. Hougaard
    12. Swanepoel
    13. Walter Venter
    14. Basson
    15. Lambie

15 – Lambie (another really good game from the younster)
    14 – Pekeur
    13 – Venter
    12 – Swannie
    11 – Hougaard
10 – Morne (never had a great game, but here was no-one else except Ruan but cant choose him twice)
    9 – Ruan
    8 – Spies
    7 – Minnie
6 – Botes (best game I have seen him play this S14)
5 – Victor (not his best game but no-one else)
    4 – Flip
    3 – Kruger
    2 – Bissy
    1 – Steenkamp / John very close 2nd.

Okay had to think hard about some positions as not all played really well this past weekend.

Morne it is impossible to take this as a true barometer. It is the view of us here, the few bloggers here that bothers to pick a team. We need a balanced selection panel consisting of equal numbers of every side and then the rest. Like we started off.

On News 24 the pick % is given, you dont know from where the picks came or how many was given to each player. Still its fun. And gives you a reasonable idea who the people want in their teams.

This week without the Stormers had a big impact, next week without the Lions a smaller impact on the team picked.

I see some bloggers get confused in selecting a list of performers and then calls it a team. That is one of the reasons why I do not attempt to select a team of performers.

Some years ago a read a book written by Danie Craven. In that book he provide some guidelines how to select a team. He started of by identifying footballers and performers. Footballers are the players you select and performers you ignore.

Thus to select a team of performers is a fruitless exercise.
