1 – Fires………HAHAHAHAHAHA. Had a good laugh there. Good to have you back here mate. Tell you what those two refs probably should be cited. Not the first time Walsh got it wrong he got it very wrong.
I missed it but saw on (All Out Rugby) the wink he gave the Brumbies when he penalized the Lions. Now really something like that has to be cited. There has to be a rule to this biased reffing. Paul Marks got it horribly wrong on Saturday that should have been a penalty try. Not only him but the TMO that had access to replay that what he thought was a try just before halftime. That was replayed over and over. I could see it was never a try everyone watching could see it was never. Garth Wright that replayed it on (All Out Rugby) was astounded that that TMO gave that try (Garth never really on the Sharks side) so if he also said it was never, you know it was never ever a try. Kanko’s hand was on the ground and the ball was not ever over the try line. Disgrace to that ref. Should not be allowed to ref again.
Watching it again really just felt bad about the bad reffing.
I said it last year when this reffing system started it will cause far too much trouble. We have to go back to neutral refs. Also said yesterday that the S15 should be so neutral we must have NH refs. That way none will be taking sides at all.
We were robbed yesterday. Sharks should have won that game, not that we would have gone on to a semi or anything like that, but we deserved that win. Something has to be done about refs that get its so very wrong. They have to be dropped for a season but something must be done. Hope WATSON looks into it. He normally just shrugs these things off.
Schalk was awesome, die Stormers en die Cheetahs het SA se rugbyvlag hoof laat wapper.
vandag n ou met n WP trui in Tzaneen gesien, sy glimlag vertel alles. Daai trots straal weer uit. Doe so voort, SA moet nou oorvat. Elke keer verander hulle die reels, die keer moet ons hulle wys ons lei nou die rugby show.
10 – Smallies, WEll DONE to your magnificent Cheetahs yesterday. Beat a really top team there and never even allowed them a bonus point.
Pity to hear Brussow is out for 5 weeks. That is now a real bummer mate, just before you tour too. Hope the injury heals faster than they think.
Anyhow loved seeing Cheetahs beat a tops side like that.

Hi all, Puma i will post a article on Australian webs next, read what Waugh had to say. They know they were gifted a win, but typical Aussie way they find a good word for the ref, why , because they benefited.
Read next post by me.
12 – Super, Schalk was brilliant.
WARATAHS captain Phil Waugh infuriated Sharks coach John Plumtree with his tactics in NSW’s victory over the South Africans, claiming that the NSW No.7 ”got away with murder at the breakdown and wasn’t picked up enough” by Queensland referee Paul Marks.
You shudder to think what Plumtree’s reaction would have been had he heard Waugh praising the overall standard of officiating this season after the game at the SFS and talking of how referees’ new interpretation of the breakdown laws no longer favours the attacking team.
That was a concern Waugh first raised after the Waratahs’ round-two loss to the Stormers at Cape Town, during which he fell foul of the referee. While aimed at freeing up the breakdown, Waugh said the interpretations were favouring attack and at risk of diminishing any contest for the ball.
A week later, following the Waratahs’ loss to the Bulls in Pretoria, Waugh spoke, but briefly – to the point that it was lost on most – of another concern. That was a trend by South African lineout lifters to form a wall around their jumpers and block defenders getting near the ball.
Then came Saturday, NSW’s 25-21 win against the Sharks and Waugh’s thumbs up to referees whose patience at the breakdown is tested most by players like him.
”The contest at the breakdown is pretty good,” Waugh said. ”The first two weeks were a little bit off as referees [were] trying to clear up that breakdown area.
”Passive ball carriers are no longer getting rewarded. Dominant tackles are getting rewarded just as dominant ball carries are getting rewarded. That balance and contest is a lot better in weeks three and four than perhaps they were in weeks one and two.”
Waugh praised Marks for awarding the Waratahs a penalty in the last minute after pinging the Sharks for obstruction in a five-metre lineout that could have led to the South Africans scoring a try to win the match.
In awarding the penalty, Waugh felt Marks fulfilled the off-season pledge by all SANZAR parties – players, coaches and referees – to support the new interpretations of the law. Waugh also said that the issue of lineout obstruction was one of the ”big four” areas of the game they all looked at.
”If you look at the video, there are numerous times that happened. It’s a hard call for the referee to make, but the reality is we couldn’t get to the jumper because of the back lifter getting around. That is clearly obstruction,” he said.
”It was obviously a timely penalty for us, but, at the same time, that is one of the things we all sat down and agreed upon. It’s important our actions live up to our words in that department. I thought it was fair.”
The penalty handed the Waratahs their second reprieve in three minutes – the first being when Kurtley Beale wasn’t penalised for knocking down Stefan Terblanche’s pass to Ryan Kankowski with three minutes to go minute. Had Kankowski received the ball, he would almost certainly have scored a try.
At that point, the Sharks were desperate and had their tails up. Even Waugh, while lauding his team for staying the distance, agreed that it might have been a different story had the game lasted a few more minutes. ”They came home strongly. We hung in there,” Waugh said, smiling. ”It’s an 80-minute game for us fortunately and not an 82- or 83-minute game. But the guys hung in there … [it was a] really gutsy effort.”
14 – Super, Will do. Really feel terrible to lose because of a ref. Not good that something has to be done about the sub-standard reffing. Only really two top refs in this tourney.
Kaplan and Mark Lawerence.
@puma they won because i did not watch but then that is always the case bad about brusss but you know wat they say yster buig net dit breek nie ,so he will be back
Smallies that was cruel, he played for 79 min 40 seconds his heart out, like always. See it might be serious, crucial ligaments they reckon. Must say i was also impressed by 2 of the forgotten players. Kabamba and Shimange
16 – Super, that makes me even more angry really. The ref got even that wrong.
Why did Waugh not acknowledge that the knock down by Beale should have been a penalty try? Also that try that was given to them at halftime was not a try. I kept replaying it and it was never, now saw again on (All Out Rugby) they replayed it and actually highlighted where the try line was and the ball was not even over!! let alone like I thought kept up by Kanko’s elbow or hand. It was behind the line. Very hard to see too, so how on earth could the TMO just award that try?
Something not right with the reffing over there. We HAVE to have neutral refs and bring in the NH refs to ref the S15. As much as I don’t like the NH refs as they never allow the game to flow, but it will be more fair for all sides. This was a mockery yesterday, Sharks should have won that game. Really hope they sort out something. Refs should be responsible too. Maybe dropped for 3 or 4 games without pay for getting it so wrong. Well the TMO really now he should never have got that wrong. He could replay it and replay it and he must have seen what we all saw. No way was that a try.
Ag, really just have to forget about it and really hope nothing like this happens to the Bulls or Stormers that they get robbed of points. That would be unfair. As it looks like we could have two teams in the semi and really hoping we can. Bad calls like that can really cost a team and it is really unfair on the players, supporters and the country that are all backing them.
18 – Smallies, Why did you not watch? You missed a great game, not the same to see it the next day. Was very exciting. Cheetahs were all over them. Real pity about Brussow but like you say he will be back.
10 – Smallies, out for the rest of the S14? Jeepers that is bad man, thought he was going to be out for about 4 weeks. Tough that. He makes a massive difference to the Cheetahs.
Must say both your wings are superb too.
@puma its simple when i watch they loose so i miss the games on pupose, the two i watced they both lost
2 – Super, My team is the same as yours. No need to type it down but will do..

Puma i agree with your anger and sentiments, the Bulls used to get it , it must stop. I cant wait to hear what the referee boss have to say about it. They took someone of the panel earlier this season, i just hope they get rid of this guy quick.
They have a remedial school or something like that. Miskien is n vuurpeleton meer gepas vir die ou. Of wat van stenig op die straathoek? 😀 no, just joking.
ek moet die een met julle deel dis erg skerp en ek bedoel niks lelik met dit nie
Blue Bulls – Season Tickets
Two Jews walk into the Loftus Versveld ticket office and ask to buy season tickets.
The Lady behind the counter asks “Are you circumcised?”
The Jew replies “Yes, of course!”
The lady then says “I’m sorry, sir, but you have to be a complete dick to be a Blue Bulls fan…”
