I honestly cannot put better players in any position, remember this is for the weekend, guys the Bulls really sucked, and the Sharks struggled to convince against the Highlanders.
How Bluebeard can even fathom to place Matfield before Bekker? Even in Testrugby.com Bekker is miles before ANY player in the forwards. This guy is having a blinder!

I will select Bekker when he learns to tackle at chest height. I said so on matchday and will say it again.
It doesn’t matter if you are 7f7″ you still have to tackle low. His height gives him an advantage in other areas so he will just have to adapt.

7@ Bluebeard the pirate with the bad heart – hehehehe
Luckily here on R-T we can differ and still respect the other blogger’s opinions…. elsewhere this won’t happen.
Personally I think Ruan Peinaar is having a mare of a season, but he did much better this past weekend… and his kicking to posts was also on song.
I suppose what swung it for me in Fourie du Preez’s favour over the weekend was that almost casual take and mark of the cross-kick up-and-under at a vital stage of the game…. and you cannot fault Fourie du Preez’s positional game, he knows exactly where the next ball will be, much like Naas Botha of old.
He just has a rugby brain….
Look, depite the narrow win on Friday, the Bulls are on 24 Log Points out of a total 25, leads the Log with a game in hand, that is just awesome!
You say you’ve heard that Dewald Potgieter did his ankle about 20 minutes in on Friday, I certainly hope he is OK, maybe you could mail me about that?

Go Bulls !

What no Lions in anyone’s team.
A bigger traversty of justice I have yet to see in the history of Super Rugby.
Mind you, the fact that Matfield played his first Super Rugby match for the Cats makes him a closet Lion really!

superBul
I actually watched most of the Sharks game, but by the time the Stormers / Cheetahs came around I’m afraid it was too late even to listen on the radio. The combination of the hot sun, the sh1t golf, and the Captain’s nectar had taken it’s toll I’m afraid.
I must admit though that the young female Stormers supporters that streamed into the pub in Badplaas were far better looking than the odd chap in orange.
I thought that the Bulls showed a great deal of character to win their game, and congrat’s to Jeppe who beat KES early on Saturday afternoon.
Oh yes, let’s not forget the “young Lions” who destroyed that powerhouse of Rugby the “purple people eaters” in the Vodacom Cup.
Other than that super, I cannot comment. I’m afraid I’m not in the same league of Rugby knowledge as the rest of the esteemed bloggers here on R-T.

bdb 11- This article by Marc Hinton quotes Colin Cooper as admitting that the Bulls vs Canes game was a huge step up from their Cheetahs and Stormers games in the preceding weeks, so there you have it.

Duane Vermeulen….seker omlat hy ‘n Streamer is.

Moet se Juan Smith was vir my bietjie stillerig Saterdag.

En moet se ek ys as P3 opkom. Daar is ‘n tayd wanneer ervaring alleen net nie meer genoeg is nie. Dis hartseer, maar ek wens meer ouens will FdP se voorbeeld volg.

LOL
Sal hom byderhand hou as n slot reserwe.
