The Brumbies hosted the Lions at the Canberra Stadium, Canberra late this morning. This is the match thread for discussion of the game. The match was broadcast on SuperSport 1 on DSTV in SA. The Brumbies won 24 / 13 in wet weather conditions, failing in the process to score the 4-try bonus point. The Lions defence on the day was better than we have seen from them all season, so far. One must however take into account that the weather is a great leveller.

good moanin puma brudda from our sharky mudda 😆

  • 33

28 – Blouste, I am not surprised the Chiefs lost. You just have to think about it. Sharks really should have beaten them. That last penatly against us was not a penalty and also Bissie off for the last 10min. So Chiefs got lucky there especially with the novice kiwi ref.

Against the Lions, Lions almost came back to beat them. Force is just not a good side. So now please let there be another upset and hope the Lions can beat Brumbies.

Lions dicipline is way off at the moment, but their defense has been good!

  • 37

35 – Blouste, Now that I have put Tahs to win my Sharkies will do it…..hahaha. Hoping never mind my bru picks I must now be sitting on the bottom with the Chiefs loss.

  • 38

Brumbies scrum is strong…. chance here of a push-over try or a penalty try

  • 39

Lions prop, Buys, gets a yellow

    Hi guys,

Puma, I never saw that Reds win coming. Thought that they were going to dive-bomb after the Blues loss last week.

Seems like more than just their strip has changed this year. And Quaint Cooper is on fire!

  • 41

well my superbru is going nowhere fast 😆 , had the chiefs for a win this weekend , a surprise to me as they played in hamilton

as for the sharks game , i have tahs to win by 8, 🙄 lets hope my superbru keeps going nowhere 😆

  • 42

Damn Lions get a yellow right on their try line. DEFEND LIKE LIONS NOW. DEFEND.

Don’t rate Steve Walsh as a ref either. Though have not really seen much of this game so have no idea.

  • 43

Scrums are a big battle area… in the wet weather in this game

  • 44

41 – Sharky I have picked Sharks every week. My heart could not go against them, but this week eventually thought go with the head and have Tahs to win. Now hope my bru falls flat and Sharks win 😆

  • 45

Morning all. I suck at Superbru. Can’t believe the Reds beat the Chiefs! Think they did the Bulls a favour. Go Lions.

  • 46

Damn, these scrums are wasting a lot of time

  • 47

Got out of jail there good Lions just hang in there.

  • 48

Morning Puma. I decided to call on the help of the RT team to assist me in my Superbru picks this week. Well I have had a good start 0 from 1. 😆

45 – Morning Irish, Think we all went with the Chiefs and it was a home game for them. Now do hope Lions can pull off another upset. Never mind my bru picks. Would love to see Lions win here.

  • 52

    50 – Irish, Never listen to em…..hehehe. 😉

  • 53

… and then the Sharks to beat the Tahs – nothing better.

  • 54

    Agh, no c’mon Sharky!

How can you go against your own team? What happened to Sharky forever? Are you going to change your handle to Sharky Now-and-Then? 😉

  • 55

Puma@52 – Yeah learnt a harsh lesson mate.

  • 56

    Moooosa pressure by the Brumbies

  • 57

lol oirish ole chap im min position 68 ffs 🙄 ON SUPERBRU THAT IS

  • 58

Puma I wanted to put the Reds down by five and was told by GBS that I’m loosing it. 😉

  • 59

Penalty try Brumbies… harsh but maybe deserved

  • 60

40 – Morning Fender, Well never saw the game so not sure how it went, still not too surprised. Chiefs were lucky to beat the Sharks we played with 14 men for about 20min of that game and had a novice ref. Also that penalty in the end was no penalty. Then Lions came back good at them at Ellis Park and the Force are not up to it. So maybe this was not a real upset. I did have Chiefs for a win on my bru though.
