Scott Staniforth will start on the right wing for the Western Force on Saturday, having been cleared to play after returning from Japan.
The team’s 2006 Player of the Year won 39 caps for the WA side before heading north to play in the Japanese competition at the conclusion of the 2009 season.
The other wing position will be filled by Nick Cummins, who has recovered from a foot injury he suffered in Wallaby camp on 5 October last year, which happened to be his 22nd birthday.
1 Donald gets us underway with the kick-off… Sheehan kicks the ball out but he carries it into the 22 so a poor start.
13 The Force work the ball up keeping it tight between the forwards… McCalman is tackled only 10m out… the forwards continue to pick-and-go… high tackle by Delany on Wykes and there is a penalty. O’Connor with the kick from right in front and the Force are on the board with a penalty
10 O’Connor runs the ball from the back and has found some open space. He chips the ball across towards Staniforth but ithe bounce is cruel and it goes out of play.
8 Masaga takes the ball up over the gain-line… Messam and Sweeney work the short side and the Chiefs are up into the 22 and the Force have given away the penalty… Donald lines up his kicks from the far left hand touchline on the 22 and its a brilliant effort through the uprights penalty
25 Sheehan snipes himself and sneaks close to the line before losing the ball in the tackle.
23 Try Chiefs win the Force line-out and Leonard chips and collects his own kick. He passes out to Elliot and then to White who gives it back to Elliot who is over. Donald adds the extra two with the conversion.
James O’Conner will be a brilliant 10. The Tjarks should buy him.
Great runs by Masanga 😆
59 Try! The game suddenly opens up as Sweeney passes the ball on to Bruce comeing through as pace and he sends a pass wide to Masaga who has too much pace on the outside for anyone to catch him. From the touchline its a superb kcik from Donald to add the extra two with his conversion.

That one is for Puma, 2 brilliant 100s by AB and Jacque
Okay on this thread now. Until the crici starts.
Chiefs just too good for Force.
From the back of the scrum Bourke picks up and is through a hole and over the line for the try! Donald’s kicks is good and the Chiefs are really dominating now.
Think Chiefs should beat the Reds next week. That will be 4 out of 4 but not sure if they will beat the Saders the following week and then they up against the Brumbies. Two tough games those. Although they play Saders at home so will have home advantage ther.
4 – Loosehead, Rather have Stephen Donald at the Sharks 😉
Puma neeeeeee luister nou mooi , stop julle buitelandse no 10 , en hou op ouens no 10s maak. Luister regtig julle mors met jul eie no 10s
12 – Super, I know, just having a bit of fun there. Not sure who we sold our U21 FH too? Thought he was really good. Now we have no-one really and this Goode oke was a waste of time and money.
12 – Super as much as I think Ruan would be a really good FH if given a season there. He just does not want to play there. So think Ruan will go back to scrumme. Rory for now will come off the bench I think. Not sure how long Rory will be around with the Sharks. He too is getting messed about.
Then we keep playing Odwa and really he has no speed. We have the exciting Mvovo just sitting there getting no game time. Play him I say.
We have to re-build and start using some of the youngsters.
Meanwhile in Rome Italy v Scotland has just started.
Looks like a beautiful day there.
Italy get a penalty kick over..
Bergamasco lines up another penalty kick and gets it through the posts. Italy lead 6 – 0
Dan Parks Scotlands No10 lines up and kicks, Scotlands first points are on the board!!
Scotland have equalised now 6 – 6
Dan Parks misses a penalty kick and the chance to get Scotland into the lead…
So still 6 -6 at the beginning of the second half….
I’m off out, till later. 😀
