Welcome to  the third day of the first India-South Africa Test.  A lot rides on the openers today from India’s point of view. In fact Steyn and Morkel v Sehwag and Gambhir has been the big contest within the contest. This contest over four innings could well decide which way the series goes.

6.3 136.3 kph, No doubt this time. The death knell. It landed on a length around the off stump line, cut in and caught Smith out. Smith was very tentative in defense, moved his arms rather awkwardly and got the bat in an angle. The ball moved through the bat and pad gap to clean up the stumps. Clatter! Good ball, poor defensive effort. 6/2
View dismissal AG Prince c †Dhoni b Khan 0 19 10 0 0 0.00
4.3 128.4 kph, Given out caught behind but it went of the arm-guard. Now then… now then .. What a ferocious delivery. Zaheer Khan serves up a well-directed bouncer at the face. A stunned Prince takes out the bottom-hand off the handle and offers the bat as a face-shield. The ball crashes into the arm-guard and pops up to Dhoni. It has been given out. Prince staggers out towards Smith, perhaps asking whether we have UDRS here. No. And off he goes. 5/1

Very good start by SA, i will go to work soon, but seeing the progress so far it looks bright and sunny. Like the warm Hoedspruit sun i have to face next.

  • 4

    YES!!! See we are 87/3

    Need to take Sehwag.

  • 5

India now 119/3…..we need to get Sehwag out!!!!!

  • 6

Yippeeeeeeeeeeeee – nog net 4 slapies dan begin die RUGBY!!!!!!!!!!

  • 7

    Morning Tripps,

We have to take Sehwag soon.

    YEAH!! S14 starts this Friday.

  • 8

How you Puma? You probably can’t wait for the weekend!!! How is the Cricket going?

  • 9

8 – Irish, very well mate, and you?

We doing well in the cricket got a huge score yesterday and now just need to take some wickets. We took 3 this morning but since has dried up. India 144/3 so far. Need to take Sehwag otherwise don’t see us bowling them out twice to win it. Although this only day 3.

  • 10

hi there you two….hmmmmm they need to get Sehwag ASAP or at least bowl out the others so that he does net get a chance to cause too much damage!!!!

I actually cant believe that the s14 is here again, I cannot wait!!!

  • 11

Puma@9 – Glad to hear that mate! Think Ireland are going to struggle against France!!! Actually the nerves before the match. We are only as good as the last game and if we can’t produce this year it distracts from the previous good we have done. Will pop in and out today as I’m busy with Contracts.

  • 12

Irish, See you doing well on Superbru. 2nd and 4th spot on the two pools you playing.

Tripps, Yip need to take Sehwag soon. If we don’t bowl most of them out by tonight think this will be a draw.

  • 13

Hey Tripeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. Bulls against Lions – is a difficult one to call. Do I go home ground advantage in first rounds or how do I predict?

  • 14

hahaha, tripples, thats how you steel the thunder on a cricket chat… wonder if the players feel the same.

And I wonder if Rassie and Muir knows this as the squads for neither team is on their websites yet!!!!!!!!!! WTF

Anyway, back to cricket. Can anyone give me a update? Amla was freaking great. I sense we may see a follow-on.

  • 15

    Oops I meant Cheetahs

  • 16

Do I go Lions against Stormers as Lions have home ground advantage.

  • 17

11 – Irish, Think Ireland will win against France. France for me anyway never looked that great against Scotland as Scotland were poor.

Good luck to Ireland anyhows will have them for a win on my bru pools.

  • 18

Where do I get team sheets. Want to predict for S14 today.

  • 19

I popped in to get SEhWAG.

  • 20

16 – Irish, Lions are normally quite good at home being it altitude too. Then Stormers are playing some good rugby. I would go for Stormers mate. Then if Lions win you can blame me 😀

Stormers have a much classer team. Sometimes that means nothing though.

  • 21

    19 – Super ….hahahah 😆

He is looking good though. We have to take him soon.

  • 22

Puma@17 – France at home are very dangerous mate. You never know which frogs team arrives.

  • 23

O-dear, just got the score. Sehwag on 71. 100 partnership between Sehwag and Badrinath. India on 157… looks like my prediction of a follow on might be pre-mature.

  • 24

    Super – Which Wag?

  • 25

Irish devil you will have to wait until Wednesday to get all the teams and with Rassie you might wait till Thursday, ok he is DOR now. Also DM likes to announce his teams late and then change them at kickoff.

  • 26

    Puma so:’

    Stormers to win

    Bulls to win

    Sharks to ????????

  • 27

Irish, pick the Stormers mate. Record, team sheets and pre-season form will tell you Stormers should take it. Home ground will only soften the blow…

  • 28

SuperBul@25. Give some pointers mate. I’m new to this prediction thing.

  • 29

26 – Irish, I feel for a win, Stormers, Bulls and Sharks.

  • 30

Irish, Sharks to lose me thinks. Sad but possibly true.

The Chiefs backline could run circles around the Sharks. In this game the HG could count for something, but jeese. If they pick JS at TH and Adi and Ruan is NO available, it could be a rumping.
