The Sharks have named a 25-man touring squad to tour Australia and New Zealand.

A 25 man squad was announced ahead of their 5 match tour to Australia and New Zealand which left our shores earlier today, they departed for Christchurch for their match against the Crusaders this coming Saturday.

The group named by John Plumtree includes Andy Goode was well as Wilhelm Steenkamp the latest players to join the Sharks ranks on loan, In addition they have Riaan Swannepoel back from injury although he played in the main curtain raiser yesterday.

Omitted from the tour group was Alistair Hargreaves, which is somewhat of a surprise seeing the lock injuries the Sharks have faced of late, and then back in favour comes Patrick Lambie and Lwazi Mvovo, Lambie also having played Flyhalf  in the curtain raiser yesterday against their Cheetah counterparts.

The touring squad will face the Crusaders Warratahs, Brumbies, Highlanders and Hurricanes on tour before returning to face the Reds back at the Absa stadium on saturday the 3rd April at 5.05PM.

Another assumption one can make is that Louis Ludick will probably join them on tour as only 25 players have been announced for the group that should comprise of 26, one feels he will be playing another match for the SharksXV before joining the tour party.

Well it looks as if Dumond had a couple of games to prove himself and thats it!!!

Come on Sharks, give it your best shot, enough of the talking about what we havent got this year, lets just go balls to the wall and be the best that we can be….and play for the team and not for ourselves.
I for one will always be your loyal and faithful supporter and believe that we have 15 on the field and they have 15 on the field and on any day any 15 can be world beaters.

    Give it hell.
