The Cheetahs take on the Highlanders in Blingfontein (Bloemfontein) at 17:05 SA Time on Saturday 27 February 2010. What to make of these two perrenial underachievers, what will happen?
The Cheetahs perform well in SA’s local competitions, they looked good against the Bulls in week 1 even though they lost, then they went and beat the Sharks at the Shark Tank. Is this the year where the Cheetahs perform in this uncompromising international competition?
Only time will tell and Saturday will give us a good indication of their mindset for the season ahead.
The Highlanders ran the Crusaders close in week 1 and also lost in week 2. They will be one of the desperate sides who want to get their season on track. They always have a good forwards pack but often have not had the best backline. Looking at the names though and how someone like Michael Hobbs have performed in the past 2 games, this looks like it could be a better season for the Highlanders than what the 2 narrow losses indicate.
I will be bold and go for a Cheetahs win… Cheetahs by 6, in a game which will not produce a heap of points.

VRYSTAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT!
But only just.
I really hope they win Loosehead, they deserve some return for honest rugby, just wish you had a decent flyhalf, Naas is OK but no playmaker.
This is the year Cheetahs must rise above the rubbish. They really should win this one.
Come on Cheetahs, make us proud !!!
