The Lions hosted the Stormers at the “Coke-Tin” late this afternoon. This is the match thread for discussion of the game. The game was broadcast on SuperSport 1 in SA on TV.
The Stormers had a good First half, scoring all their points and clearly overshaddowed the Lions in the Fist Half. The Second Half was different, only 7 points coming in the whole half, the Lions always playing catch-up. In the end the Stormers won comfortably, 26 / 13. No bonus points was earned for tries.
All in all, the game was a dour affair.

Puma – hadnt even thought of the bonus point, that is a big nono.
I think they should replace the Lions with the Spears, can not be more embarassing!
King Carlos injured / replaced
Lions now with possession but the Stormers are defending well
AB shame man that is cruel, they have most proberly all been upset about whats happening with that Reyneke tool.
TMO – held up
Lions lyk baie beter met Queen Carlos van die veld af.
Maar Stormers verdedig mooi, ek voel egter ‘n drie vir die Lions wat gewag om gedruk te word.
3 de drie wat goed gekeer is die naweek

Very good run by the Stormers from inside their 22…
