The Lions hosted the Stormers at the “Coke-Tin” late this afternoon. This is the match thread for discussion of the game. The game was broadcast on SuperSport 1 in SA on TV.
The Stormers had a good First half, scoring all their points and clearly overshaddowed the Lions in the Fist Half. The Second Half was different, only 7 points coming in the whole half, the Lions always playing catch-up. In the end the Stormers won comfortably, 26 / 13. No bonus points was earned for tries.
All in all, the game was a dour affair.

Ek sien op hierdie stadium nog niks wat blou bul se kind se blou broek (of the Ctahs) sal laat bewe nie.

The Scots are being warn by the ref regarding a yellow card SOON if not careful.

The Welsh coaches are looking grim. Sam Warburton is on on the flank for Wales. They are looking to him to become the new Martyn Williams.

130 – GBS, Lions giving away far too many penalties. Pity really.
Time for a yellow, it might be against Bekker for a high tackle……no it is Schalk for no arms………but no card.
Daar rattle die man
129: sou Habana en Shadow saam wou gesien het, maar nou ja.
133 – Loosehead, ref not up to it I think.
tough call. Carlos slipped. Schalk’s reputation counted against him there
Stormers 12 / 6
Is this a Vodacom Cup game? Man the standard is poor.

Jamie Roberts scores – but it is disallowed for obstruction.

Penalty to Wales – Yellow card – replacement hooker Scot Lawson goes. A really silly card – it was on the half way line. Why do it in not a dangerous position?
73
The Scots have won 10 from 10 in the lineouts. A very strong performance.

BBC Commentator Jonathan Davies agrees with me regarding the Welsh coaches: “They are not a happy bunch.”

Huge drop kick by Parks to score – today he can walk on water!

A cross kick by Parks and Shane Williams is amazing to catch the ball as he beats two big blokes in the air – and calls a mark!

That was just to easy
Ma laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaank gevat om n ou drietjie te druk. Foeitog!
24-19 to the Scots
Can someone please enlighten me why the Stormers are allowed to break up from the scrum before the ball is out. Stormers offside the whole time. Reff is really onesided today. How much is Rassie paying him?
Habs made that try. The best wing in world rugby.
