The curator at the Captain Roop Singh Stadium in Gwalior has promised another track full of runs.

The series opener in Jaipur shouldn’t have got so close. Ashish Nehra should have been bowled off the penultimate ball of the innings. India’s total, as a result of that freakish incident – when the ball deflected off the stumps – should have been four runs less. India’s bowlers shouldn’t have allowed the South African tail to put their specialist batsmen to shame. A more conclusive camera angle/replay would have determined whether Sachin Tendulkar legitimately saved the boundary in the final over. All these significant incidents proved the difference between an Indian win and any other result.
The South Africans would no doubt have debated these ifs and buts after that game. Dale Steyn and Wayne Parnell scripted a near-Houdini act but it couldn’t hide what was otherwise an unflattering batting performance, Jacques Kallis excepted. It was puzzling why they omitted their in-form player Hashim Amla – not the most well-known limited-overs player around but one who adds glue to the top order. South Africa missed him and could sacrifice one of the openers for him. They have to get their combination right because another defeat will render the series lost and the final ODI a dead rubber.
India won the first game by one run. The game was in the balance until the last ball. Heroic batting by Dale Steyn and Wayne Parnell brought South Africa back into the game after they looked well and truly beaten. One can only wish for another humdinger, and hopefully South Africa can win this game to keep the 3 match series alive.

Okay off now back in about a hour and a half. Off to a meeting.
Just hope when I get back we have em all out 😀
flippen 11 lopies van parnell se eerste over
32@ Tripswitch – Ek gedra my altyd… al is dit sleg!
34 doesn’t look promising for that to be happening at the moment!!!!

36 Ja nee maiki, dit weet ek hehehehehehe

hmmm
nog steeds 6+ runs ñ over!!
dis te veel …. come-on ouens!!
hmmmm, strange isnt it?
on sunday they only had one angle available for the 3rd umnpire to judge whether tendulkar was touching the rope in his effort to prevent a 4 in the last over … now suddenly with us fielding they have more than one …. hmmmm very strange!!
Fark, the Indians are’nt playing Cowboys and Indians here, they are playing Indians and Indians here… hahaha…. they are bliksemming the ball all over the place!
Charl Langeveld got a bad knock to the eye… off for stitches, I believe. Weakening our bowling line-up somewhat.
gbs @ 46
wat het gebeur? wou hy die blerrie bol met sy oeg gevang het?
hellooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!
anyone?
47@ Asbak – Ball slipped through his hands and caught him straight on the left eye…. hy’s nou terug, lyk soos ‘n bokser wat ‘n moeeeeerrrrrse fight agter die rug het.
Fark, India 100 after only 15 overs
20 overs gone and the Ama Blomme – Blomme has pulled the run rate back a bit, only 29 runs coming from the last 5 overs
India should get 350 PLUS from here…. pitch is an absolute belter, suits the batsmen down to a T… whereas the outfield is bumpy, making ball hop funny… also suits the batsmen…
To chase such a big total is a moooooooooooosa risk though, and at night in India the ball can skid on the pitch and do all sorts of funnies!
Fark, it’s already 282 / 2 after 39 overs.
So at 10 an over from here we’re staring down the barrel of nearly 400 runs
280 odd…11 overs left.
India should get a BIG score…
Hope our batsmen heads are sorted…
360 is what India will get…no more !!!
Almost a run out…eishh!!!
Tendulkar might make his 200
gbs
He has realy been a thorn in our side…
A wicket to fall in the next 18 balls…
Jeez… Tendulkar’s realy on fire !!!
