The coach of the Vodacom Bulls, Frans Ludeke, has selected his strongest available team for Saturday’s warm-up fixture in Polokwane.
Courtecy the official Bulls web site:
Ludeke included senior Springboks such as Victor Matfield, Fourie du Preez and Gurthrö Steenkamp in his starting XV, but due to injury stalwarts like Bakkies Botha, Wynand Olivier, Chiliboy Ralepelle, Akona Ndungane, Pierre Spies, Francois Hougaard, Dewald Potgieter and Danie Rossouw will not feature in the weekend’s clash.
With Olivier on the sideline Jacques-Louis Potgieter makes a welcome return at inside centre and Derick Kuün is back at flank after a couple of seasons in the middle of the scrum.
Gary Botha is again wearing the number 2 jersey and the former Springbok and Stormers midfielder De Wet Barry is going to be amongst the reserves.
The Bulls are going to play with two teams against the Lions with most of the less experience players featuring in the first game.
With Matfield captaining the “Blue” team, lock Wilhelm Steenkamp will lead the “White” team against their counterparts from Johannesburg.
The “White” team will kick off at 16:00 with the “Blue” team starting at 18:30.

Mmmmmm, our injuries are a grave concern…
… and our 2 starting props, eishhhhhhhhhhhhhhh !!
No man…
Our players getting in a nice last rest before the real deal unfolds…
BBUUULLLLLSSSSSSSSSS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jacques-Louis Potgieter bo Stefan Watermeyer??
GBS, I HAVE GOT A BONE TO PICK WITH YOU………
You are supporting Wales and not England……Whats that about!! 🙁
Grrrrrrr……….
You may now play in 5 pools
26 Jan 2010
We′ve tweaked the rules around pools in SuperBru for the Super 14. This will pave the way for the introduction of new kinds of pools over the course of the year.
From 3 to 5 pools…
When SuperBru first shifted from a single pool model to permitting players to partake in several pools, we placed a limit of 3 pools per tournament on each player. This has now been increased to 5 pools.
9@ Carol – It’s simple really….. Wales consider rugby their National Sport, much like us here in SA. So why would I choose a Nation who chooses Poofball as their National Sport…
