118 – Coach, We have to win this test at Newlands otherwise if it is a draw will put too much pressure on us in the last test. Remember too that there is plenty thunderstorms up on the highveld that will probably ruin a bit of the test there. So Newlands is a must win. We struggling at the moment. 279/6. That will be such a good batting wicket tomorrow. Sun forecast for the whole day. So once England come in it may take forever to get them out. We need to bat as long as possible tomorrow.

Coach, What kinda temps do you get in the winter in California? I know in Florida it is still warm in winter.

Those Poms to always have a SH Coach 🙄 Last coach was a saffa now a Zim coach. Any was a superb batsman for Zim. Seems to be a great coach now for England.

  • 127

    typo. Any meant Andy

  • 128

Its much like Cape Town where I am
Yes, I just hate losing to Poms in any sport Full stop

  • 129

Coach sorry meant to say Happy New Year to you too.

  • 130

128 – Coach, I feel the same. Oz and England. Hate losing to either of them. Sorry Carol… It is the press in those countries that make me feel that way.

  • 131

120 – superBul – Heheheheh, actually have been out all day but just watched the highlights, Kallis was annoyingly troublesome today!!

Puma – Hope we kept you entertained on the field today!!

CoachPete – Come now, can’t be that bad loosing to the Poms, we must beat you in most sports except for rugby!! 😆

  • 132

Coach if it is like Cape Town the weather then it should be good. Poor Soda he has it really freezing where he lives. I had friends that lived in Denver and it was freezing there too in the winter.

  • 133

130 Puma Hahahahah I am NEVER too far away!!

    Be afraid, be VERY afraid!!

Whats wrong with our press
You should only be worried when they bring PDV out infront of them, (actually he is calming down a bit now isn’t he, not such a gift for our journo’s)!

  • 134

I dont know why they only started the test today i could have had 2 or 3 days watching it, now i will have to listen on the radio at work.

  • 135

Hi Carol, Yes your team and Kallis kept us entertained today. We still standing so hoping for a bit more on the board before we all out tomorrow. Going to be great for batting tomorrow no clouds full sun forecast. So once your boys come in think it will be tough to get them out. We batted in overcast conditions this morning. Makes it very difficult.

  • 136

    Hello Carol
    Happy new year fine lady.
Yes I guess rugby is the big one.
But ask any saffa to be honest to you
We hate losing to you guys 🙂

  • 137

133 – Carol…..LOL. Your press can cut down anyone to bits. Just as the Aussies do. Tough bunch they are when writing that is… 😆 Scots are even worse I can tell you that much. Very good with the mouth..hehehe.

  • 138

    Hi Sperbul
yes you would think they should have started the match on Thursday
I guess Capetonians only relaized there was cricket by the 2nd of jan

  • 139

134 – Super, Agree thought it strange to start on a Sunday. Should have started yesterday. Maybe just too little time from the last test. Probably players needing a bit of rest.

  • 140

Just saw on the news that is was difficult for the England supporters and Barmy Army to get tickets for Newlands today, was the ground at Durban so empty because it was a work day?
Will it be easy to get into Newlands for the next match? Imagine travelling to SA and not getting into the match. 🙁

  • 141

Its Cricket Puma they rest half the game Lol

  • 142

Coach – Sometimes it is a burden being universally disliked!! 😀

  • 143

superBull – Not playing yesterday seemed a wasted day really……!

  • 144

Well, helloooooo there Coachie… nice to have you onboard here at R-T..

  • 145

    Thanks GBS
Yes Carol thats why you are now basically a saffa 🙂

  • 146

Hiya GBS – Whats the news from Brakpan?

  • 147

About the 2nd of January in the Western Cape…. you do not understand, even years ago, before our new government made 2 January a National Holiday every year, the Capies used to call 2 January “2nd New Years Day”… and they took the day off, no work at all….. why, because they were all still drunk on 2 January…

    I’m not shitting you!

That’s probably why there was no cricket yesterday.

  • 148

So the plan for Proteas, is Kalli to stay in and make 300 plus, just needs support on other end
The bown out England twice after they have to follow on

  • 149

    138
Yes they even have a 2nd new years day over there, maybe the authorities know they will watch cricket the next 4 days, sick notes to get back to work will be test tickets

  • 150

Coach – You should hear my ‘South African’accent, it is getting better!!
