137.4 review Harris gets it right this time! Drags his length back, Broad lunges forward again and it raps off the glove and it’s given out. Broad reviews, hoping his glove was off the bat. It’s not, he’s gone and the England a teetering on the brink here 286/8 |

138.1 to Bell, Inspired move! Bell has gone! Oh dear, that is tragedy for Bell. It was outside off he could have left it alone, but had a fiddle at it and it goes through to Smith. 290/9 |

47.2 to Pietersen, got him! Huge wicket and an inspired bowling change from Smith. Full and Pietersen is playing across the ball, strikes him in front and there is no need for a review on that. Steyn gets the main man and England are tottering now! 129/370.3 to Trott, got him! Steyn strikes! Off stump is flying as a full ball nips back between bat and pad and crashes into the top of off. It looked a loose shot but it was fantastic quick bowling. 160/5 |

36.3 to Cook, the pull shot fails Cook, and that’s the breakthrough. Looking to continue his dominant approach, a steepling top-edge, and Boucher steadies himself to claim an easy chance. 101/1 |

39.3 to Strauss, massive wicket! Harris gets Strauss, it pitched outside off again, Strauss tried to work it into the leg side but only succeeded in inside-edging into his pad and it looped up gently to Amla who grabbed it eagerly. That could be the decisive moment. 107/261.6 to Anderson, the leg-slip is instantly into the action! An aggressive sweep from Anderson, as Harris serves up a full-toss. The ball bounces down onto his toe, flicks round the corner, and Ashwell Prince snaffles a blinder, diving one-handed to his right! 153/4137.4 to Broad, review Harris gets it right this time! Drags his length back, Broad lunges forward again and it raps off the glove and it’s given out. Broad reviews, hoping his glove was off the bat. 127.3 to Collingwood, well, what have we here! Maybe there is life! Duminy ends Collingwood’s epic block with one that is pushed across him, catches the outside edge, and goes through to Kallis at slip. Suddenly this last hour will seem like a day for England! 272/6129.6 to Prior, Duminy strikes again! This match is alive! Prior tries to defend, it comes slightly off an inside edge and De Villier’s snaffles a low chance. High drama here! 278/7 |

276@ Asbakkie – Sorry, nee…. ek kyk dit sommer op SS2…. hehehe
This is Darell and my other brother Darell(sp) Harper needs some glasses trying to give Prince out when his bat was no where near the ball. 👿
Puma am getting a bit concerned that this is day two and you have not been online.
Eish Prince out after a review.
We must bat the whole day and at least for a session and a half tomorrow… get a lead of 400 Plus…. then scuttle the Pommy wickets….
Hmmm quite rite GBS maaaaaaaaaaaaar, dit is die Proteas van wie jy hier praat hehehehe
gbs @ 277
sommige van ons moet werk
nie almal van ons het ryk geerf nie, nê? 😀
Afternoon everyone.
See Broad cheating for England there. Missed this morning watching the crici but just watching the replays and there is Broad standing on the ball. That is blatant cheating. The umpires are asleep. By doing that they show you he messes up the side of the ball. NOT good enough. Hope the match official will see that later on the replay.
Anyhow just pleased we bowled them out without them taking the lead.
Once again Ash goes too quick. He is not a opener and really must bat at 5 or 6 at the Wanderers. We messing with him there. He bats well down the order and we are losing a opener far to quick with him opening. Make life a bit difficult for Amla when he comes in too. Sort of makes him open all the time with Ash going so quick.
279 – Treehugs, I am back now..hehe.
278 – Treehugs, Just saw that on the replay. Aussie getting it wrong there. Ball so far away from his bat too.
283@ Asbakkie – Janee, ek’s in dieselfde bootjie…. sommige van ONS moet onsself maar ryk werk….. tot ons voete ryk… of is dit nou ruik!
79/1 Good just keep batting. These two stay in will be a easier for the ones coming in later.
Should really think of making Amla open at Wanderers. Not fair on him, just think he handles it better to open than Prince. Prince should come in down the order for the next test.
sorry, after a meant lot.
btw
i read on cricinfo that swann has dismissed prince three times in this series now
the most baffling fact of course is that prince have only faced 5 balls thus far from swann!! 😯
Puma so glad to see you safe and sound 🙂 🙂 🙂
puma @ 288
my thoughts exactly
problem is though, to bring prince in later the likes of amla, kallis, de villiers etc have to go in earlier
do you really want to shuffle the whole batting line-up to accomodate one batsman?
on the other hand, prince is almost sure to bring a lot to the batting line-up later on in our innings!
glad i’m not the one to decide that one! 😀
oh
and england have just bowled only their 2nd no-ball of the series (according to cricinfo)
292 – Ash, If Prince comes in around 6 or 5 we know he will bat well there. Get us plenty runs. To open is not fair on him really. We are wasting a really good batsman that will get us runs later when the top order get out. So to have him go so quick as a opener we are really throwing away one of our wickets for nothing.
If he can not come in at 5 or 6 even have him come in Amla’s position. Amla opens better and will stay long enough to make that ball older for Ash when he comes in. I am really feeling for Prince now. His confidence will start to go if this keeps up. He is a superb batsman being ruined by the selectors making him open.
(phew) see the reviews is working nicely today!!
WOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOO. GS refers that and well done to him for doing it. NOT OUT. Yes. Now make them pay and bat Smithie.
295 – Ash, It is… 😆 Pleased about that one.
puma @ 294
i agree with everything you said .. yes, i know he’ll bring stability to our lower order (something that IS missing at the moment)
but the
question remains whether we should do all the things you mentioned just to accomodate him?
shouldnt it be an “opener” for another one?
291 – Treehugs, Thanks but remember no pc then no me 😀
Still waiting for it to be repaired. Working from my daughters today.
298 – A proper opener would be great Ash, Just think that Prince is getting a raw deal there. Also I feel he is a superb batsman that we can use down the order and get us plenty runs there. So really have to scratch my head about this one. Maybe if Duminy does not bat well then drop him. (My hero from Melbourne though) still young with huge talent but not doing it at the moment. Maybe he can then go back and get more practice in Domestic Crici and come back. Bring in A. Pietersen then to open let Ash come in at 6. Just don’t like seeing us waste runs we can get from a batsman if he plays in his right position.
