138.1 to Bell, Inspired move! Bell has gone! Oh dear, that is tragedy for Bell. It was outside off he could have left it alone, but had a fiddle at it and it goes through to Smith. 290/9 |

47.2 to Pietersen, got him! Huge wicket and an inspired bowling change from Smith. Full and Pietersen is playing across the ball, strikes him in front and there is no need for a review on that. Steyn gets the main man and England are tottering now! 129/370.3 to Trott, got him! Steyn strikes! Off stump is flying as a full ball nips back between bat and pad and crashes into the top of off. It looked a loose shot but it was fantastic quick bowling. 160/5 |

36.3 to Cook, the pull shot fails Cook, and that’s the breakthrough. Looking to continue his dominant approach, a steepling top-edge, and Boucher steadies himself to claim an easy chance. 101/1 |

39.3 to Strauss, massive wicket! Harris gets Strauss, it pitched outside off again, Strauss tried to work it into the leg side but only succeeded in inside-edging into his pad and it looped up gently to Amla who grabbed it eagerly. That could be the decisive moment. 107/261.6 to Anderson, the leg-slip is instantly into the action! An aggressive sweep from Anderson, as Harris serves up a full-toss. The ball bounces down onto his toe, flicks round the corner, and Ashwell Prince snaffles a blinder, diving one-handed to his right! 153/4137.4 to Broad, review Harris gets it right this time! Drags his length back, Broad lunges forward again and it raps off the glove and it’s given out. Broad reviews, hoping his glove was off the bat. 127.3 to Collingwood, well, what have we here! Maybe there is life! Duminy ends Collingwood’s epic block with one that is pushed across him, catches the outside edge, and goes through to Kallis at slip. Suddenly this last hour will seem like a day for England! 272/6129.6 to Prior, Duminy strikes again! This match is alive! Prior tries to defend, it comes slightly off an inside edge and De Villier’s snaffles a low chance. High drama here! 278/7 |

Richie Benaud
He’s usually a good puller – but he couldn’t get it up that time.

Do it this way
The standard of batting in the local side was very low. Even at the net practice, they couldn’t hit a thing. Finally, the captain rushed forward and grabbed the bat.
‘Now bowl me some fast ones!’ he yelled. Six fast balls came down in quick succession and the captain missed them all. Not to be put off he glared at the team and shouted,
‘Now that’s what you’re all doing. Get in there and hit them!’
725 wahahahahahaha dit was seker toe KP hulle captain was….dis al wat alles die moeite werd maak dat KP nie kon perform nie, KP het tot dusver ‘n PK gekry in SA!!!!!

How many great batsmen?
The conceited batsman was at the crease. He turned to the wicket-keeper.
‘Tell me, my man, just out of interest. How many great players would you say there are?
‘One less than you think.’
729 klink my jy sidestep nog te lekker hahahaha
Anyway ek moet gou bietjie my brood en botter verdien, sal later weer kom chat!!!!
A hostile game
The local game had been a bitter affair, with neither side giving anything away and an unusual amount of hostile bowling. Several injuries were sustained, and after the game one of the batsmen was seen pacing up and down the pitch.
‘Ah, I see you’re re-living the battle,’ said the groundsman.
‘No,’ said the player. ‘I’m looking for my teeth’
cheers tripples

Notice any difference
The bowler had a dreadful match which cost his side the game. All week long he practiced hard for the next game. During the following match, he said to the captain, ‘Notice any difference?’
The captain looked at him thoughtfully. ‘You’ve had your hair cut, haven’t you?’
Good enough
In a local game. the visiting side had two fearsome fast bowlers. Everybody was terrified of them , none more so that the opening bat for the home team. He crept , shaking , to the crease and awaited the first ball. The bowler thundered up to the crease and hurled down a scorcher. The batsman waved his bat at it and it was fielded at mid-on. Immediately, he walked for the pavilion.
‘Where are you going?’ cried the bowler. ‘He caught it on first bounce.’
‘Looked good enough to me’ replied the retreating batsman.
Fed up with the umpire
The exasperated bowler turned to the umpire ‘What would happen if I called you a stupid old fool ! who couldn’t make a good decision to save his life’
‘You would be fined and suspended’
‘And if I only thought it?’
‘Nothing could be done.’
‘Well, we’ll leave it like that, shall we’
Monster bowler
On Radio:”.. he runs in to bowl, over the stumps. He has a forward-short leg, a backward short-leg, a square-leg and a deep fine leg”.
Housewife: “Wow! the man must be a monster. No wonder all our boys are scared of him”
Well that was soooooooooooooooooo close. Once again coming down to the last over.
Ash, maybe we should have declared straight after lunch. Would have given us about another 7 overs to have bowled them out.
All the ifs wont help. England played well to draw that test. If we cant bowl them out we don’t deserve to win.
So well done to England for holding out there.
Now for Wanderers. Hope good weather. Pressure on us now to win that one. Think it will be a draw, probably wont get the 5 days without rain.
Good Luck Proteas.
740 – Ash, 😆
716 – Tripps 😆
707 – Superbul, You probably right.
We were on top at Centurion and here in Newlands and get a draw 🙁
How must Paki feel? They were on top of OZ in that last test the whole way to lose in the end. Suppose that how it goes.
Hope now for no rain at Wanderers.
Just read that De Wet is out for the test at Wanderers. So who will play? I would put in Parnell with out a thought. If he can not play then maybe another spinner, what about J. Botha who can bat some too.
