Willem Alberts and Louis Ludik have a new set of teeth as they change to Sharks.

Amongst all the Springbok trials & tribulations it all went in silence and unnoticed as Willem Alberts and Louis Ludik attended their first practice with the Sharks outfit in Durban yesterday.

But as one positive arrives another negative takes its place as its been reported that Monty Du Mond might not be able to join the Cheetahs as agreed and leaves the Sharks with some worrying times.

Hernandez is in Europe and is reported to have a back problem, and may not be ready to play in the Super 14 from the start.

Then there is a matter of a knee operation that Ruan Pienaar might have to undergo, although it is reported that it is not a serious operation and should be able to recover very quickly from this.

Between John Plumtree and Naka Drotsky there will be some serious stress as to how this all pans out as it could leave both camps in serious need of quality at pivot.

More news to follow as it is made available on matters arising from the Sharks camp…..

Still think Ruan would do himself a favor if he moved to the Cheetah janne. Naka Drotsky only have himself to blame for not having a class pivot there and let’s be honest they haven’t had one starting for the Cheetahs in years…

Sad that Ludick and Alberts will now spend their time at the Sharks on the bench… Domkop janne.

Alberts is staying with Gerhard Mostert. Bliksems.

GLRU has still not released the two. We’ll see what happens.

  • 3

Hmmmm hoop net nie hulle versuip nie 🙂

  • 4

@1 van straaten he is happy at the sharks and mostly plays 9 so why should he leave??

because maybe you dislike the sharks and would love to see their demise??

anyhpows he has signed till end 2011 so dont see him going anywhere till then

so to alberts and ludick till end 2011

  • 5

Ludick and Albert should be in the starting 15 easy….Ludick miles better than Odwa and Alberts better than Kanko

  • 6

Sharky why do we not have a photo of you?

  • 7

No I hate to see the Sharks mess up another player. They’ve buggered up so many of this country’s top talent. I hate that province.

  • 8

willa , lemme help you right

smitty will complete his career in durban and will ot move to another province as you suggest in wetalkrugby

smitty firstly has signed with sharks till end of 2011

2ndly he and muir do not get along that great as you suggest as it was with muir in charge that smitty left the sharks

and lastly in smitties book he mentioned his best friend

that friend happenes to be a ex sharks and good friend of mine too

and i asked him last week whats news , and in his words ,jojn had said no ways in hell would he play for another province

😆 but hey dreaming is good mate 😆

@#8 Sharky_forever, like I also said, then the Sharks should make John first choice hooker and captain.

If not, in the interest of SA Rugby, he should look elsewhere. Plain and simple.

  • 10

lol willa but a difference between what you hope for and what reallity is

i just happen to know he will not leave the sharks, not only because of my inside info but because of his public statement to the fact

van straaten to hate a province because of things you percieve without knowing the true fact ?? is that not a little immature mate??

well each to their own i guess . 😆

  • 11

    Farkin poachers! 😆

  • 12

Sharky – You guys from the last outpost will always make excuses for your province.

  • 13

yeah van straatern i know we always the only ones huh?/ yeah right noone else buys
none else does anything wrong blah blah blah, mate time to get into the real world

  • 14

    13 sharky, see 11!

  • 15

Hahahaha. All the Provinces makes mistakes, but no other province have messed with talent like the Sharks. How they’ve buggered Ruan Pienaar, and Frans Steyn around the past few seasons (Before his move to Racing Metro for which he’ll be a better player 😉 ) and before them guys like Brent Russell, Stefan Terreblanche, etc. With the talent the Sharks have at the tank they should be winning the Currie Cup and Super 14 almost every year… Especially having the best captain in the world and all ;).

  • 16

I’m just glad they didn’t poach the poacher…

  • 17

Good news. Now just need some centres. Where will we poach them from 😆

  • 18

If Ruan needs a knee op he should be home getting it done right now. Think he too is going to play in the Barbarians game. So daft. Must come home and get that knee sorted.

  • 19

van straaten n paar woorde vir daai twak wat jy praat ( bullshit) 😉

  • 20

Maar ‘n mens moet begin worry as jy begin sharkshit praat, dis wanneer jy weet daar kom ‘n 1/10 slaagsyfer vir die laaste 10 jaar.

  • 21

17 puma, Meyer Bosman? and Doppies?

  • 22

If the Sharks poach Meyer Bosman it would make the Cheetahs happy won’t it. Especially after his one line-break in this year’s Super 14. What a legendary inside-centre.

  • 23

17 – Loosehead. Sharks need centres not sure about them but you never know.

What about M. Joubert. They should look at the saffas in NH. Heard that Jourbert is playing some great rugby.

  • 24

Afternoon Treehugs. See you up there.

  • 25

Hello Puma how are you was just busy reading everything.

  • 26

25 – Treehugs. Well and you?

Looking forward to the game on Saturday just hoping no injuries. If players play with a niggle it wont help us much.

Just hoping that Bakkies and FdP are over their injuries by Thursday when they select the team.

Also looking forward to the cricket. Just hope we play better or select better. See Gibbs will take the place of Kallis who is injured. I would have played Bosman.

Am a bit irritated at the Sharks always being dissed or is it dished, we are a fantastic team. Didnt we end top of the log in the super 14 isnt that proof that we have a good team, our only problem is we tend to choke at the end and i agree it is a handicap of massive proportions.

We also seem to be the supporters that are not shy to openly criticize our players if they are not performing properly eg kanko, pienaar and jacobs, the only other team supporters that do that are the Lions.

  • 28

I adore Gibbs and rate him very highly as a player, sorry am tacking so long to respond have a bad signal.

Am feeling very confident about our game against the Irish this weekend and dont see what the problem is apart from there backline which is very good.

  • 29

Seems everyone is believeing the bad press about our Boks and they shouldnt, we may be a bit tired and jaded right now but honestly think we can thump the the little men at the end of the rainbow with ease.

Think they are going to play a bit dirty cos they know all will be looking at us for dirty play because they have hyp0ed that up in the press even thou it is not true.

  • 30

We do have to start Meisikind and Fourie as our centers thou.
