Wales take on Argentina at the Millennium Stadium, Cardiff, Wales on Saturday. We look at the possibilities for this game.

Wales are one of the performing Rugby Nations in the world at the moment, their side is settled, their scrums strong, their backline adventurous and their coaching is up to standard.

They have their fair share of game breakers in the team and play an exciting yet well structured game.

Argentina on the other hand, the step child of world rugby are not too shabby of late and were unlucky not to at least draw with the Poms last Saturday. They have a core of players who all apply their trade in France and the UK but they are still missing the likes of Juan Hernandez due to injury.

Argentina in Argentnia is a formidable force but do not do so well away from home… must be something to do with the Latin mentality and fire.. or lack thereof on the day.

I cannot see Argentina winning this one, so my bold prediction is for Wales to win handsomely… Wales by 14 PLUS.

Players to watch:

For Wales: One of the Welsh players of the season last year, Andy Powell is in desperate need of a dominating performance. The robust back-row forward will be looking to impose himself on the fixture and his success/failure in doing that could have a major impact on the match. Elsewhere, making his first start for his country, centre Jonathan Davies will be a player to watch. With Tom Shanklin struggling to produce so far this season there could well be a gap for the youngster in the midfield if he can make the most of his opportunity this weekend.

For Argentina:

Definitely a star for te future, young centre Martin Rodriguez is filling the gap left by the injury to Felipe Contepomi. A direct runner with the ball in hand, while also being the teams goal kicker, he will have a big role to play this weekend. Another young gun in the Pumas side, flank Tomas Leonardi ,made a decent impression against England and will be hoping to carry on from there this weekend in Wales.

Head-to-Head:

An interesting battle looks set to take place in the midfield with Lion Jamie Roberts and Puma Gonzalo Tiesi set to lock horns. Both players have had a couple quiet weeks and will be looking to fire themselves back to form in this big clash. One slip up from either will be capitalised on.

Experienced Argentinean loosehead Rodrigo Roncero will go nose-to-nose with Wales tighthead Paul James in, what should be, a very important battle. Every week we see the importance of the scrum and James, himself normally a No.1, will need to stand strong against the Stade Francais stalwart.

The biggest contest of the night however will be the one at the back of the scrum between the two captains, Ryan Jones and Juan Fernandez Lobbe. Jones own form so far this November has been very good but the pressure remains on him to lead his troops back to their best. Lobbe meanwhile was brilliant at Twickenham last weekend and is turning into one of the games genuine great leaders.
