Noises from Durban are getting louder that the star flank of the Cheetahs and the Bokke will play for the Sharks in the Super 14 next season.

From the Shark Tank however there is only silence about the question whether the Cheque book has been hauled out to get Brüssow to the Shark Tank.

Mr Rudolph Straeuli, who is responsible for the contracting of players for the Sharks, did not want to comment about the possible move of Brüssow to the Sharks.

“There will be more clarity next week about contracting of players”, is all he said.

However, from Durban we hear that Brüssow was indeed there lately to have talks with the bosses of the Sharks.

It is clear that he still has a valid contract with the Cheetahs for next season (2010) which would keep him in Bloemfontein, but the Sharks are apparently prepared to pay up to R2 million to buy Brüssow out of his contract with the Cheetahs.

It was even mentioned two week ago, before the Currie Cup semi that he might be on his way to the Sharks and this week these rumours surfaced again.

The people from KwaZulu Natal might also have to search for a new Currie Cup coach, because John Plumtree apparently is not keen to be involved with both the Super 14 and the Currie Cup.

Mnr.

95 Responses to Brussow it seems could well be on his way to Durban at a cost?
