Julle sal oplet dat slegs 3 spelers in beide spanne “born and raised” in hul onderskeie provinsies is.

Interesting to see where each player was born there.
Jeepers if some stayed in EP they woould have had a great team.
Bakkies born in Newcastle KZN!!! Damn we want Bakkies back…… 😆
So dis dieselfde ORAL.
3 gebore in Slaapstad
4 gebore in Pretoria
3 – Supa
Hello Supa, I think its more reflective of where you were brought up and went to school, rather than where you were born. Some leave after they are a year old or so from their birth place.
4 – BDB 😀
Like I have said many times. A win by one point is all it takes.
8 Grey
6 Affies
So die CB finaal is ‘n Affies vs Grey affere.
Jy weet ek stem saam met jou Supa. Ek sien nou eers hy is ‘n ou Kapenaar!!
#3 Supa
I tend to agree with you, Supa. There are so many factors that influence where players end up playing their rugby.
These days pro team sport often ends up resembling something like those pick-up games we played as laaities: the one day I’m picked on your side and the next day I’m oicked for the side that plays against you and then I’m going to tackle you stukkend, my broer.
And if we can have a lekker cold Kool-Aid together after the game, then alles is mos kwaai?
8 – KingPaul,
Please don’t tell the rest of the WP supporters that M. Steyn is from the Cape. Otherwise we wont hear the end of it 😆
Then BAKKIES is a son of Natal. We want him back pronto 😆
Boys from all over the country goes to these different schools like Grey College, Affies, Bishops, Paarl Gim, etc. so you never where the guy is from really. School are scouting youngsters, and some even pay them to play there… People should get over the whole who steals whom idea. Take a guy like Joe Pietersen he’s from Cape Town, and he went to Grey College.
~never know where the guy is from…

As long as it is only South African union stealing their own that is fine. Wait until Aussies come here and steal our youngsters. Mark my words that is going to happen with the S15. They just don’t have the players to fill anonther union. I rather we have our players get taken here from another union and stay in SA. Sad as that is it is far better than them leaving to play for another country.
We are blessed with more rugby players here than anywhere else in world rugby. We should look after them and keep them here.
9@fender – Wasn’t the scenes after the game at Newlands not just nauseating. The Bulls and the WP guys looking like best buddies!
15@Puma – I find it sad that South Africa have lost talented youngsters like William Turner (chosen for England 7s I think), Juandre Kruger (Who probably won’t think twice if eligible for England to play for them), etc. We will lose a lot of youngsters who are great players because we play mediocre players at some of the positions for our Super 14 sides. It’s sad that we will lose talent in this way. Rugby is now a professional sport, I think fans must accept that.
Hellooooooooooooooooo
Look where I’m from… and look where I live now…….. hehehehe
Flok !!

And so they should, Van. Nothing cements friendships like a well mixed and ice cold Kool-Aid!

#15 Puma, the Aussies have already lured a talented youngster to league rugby in 2010. He made SA schools senter this year, but opted to try out League in Aus first. They gave him a nice fat contract!
