Check this out, it does make for good reading…

Saturday 31 October 2009 – Loftus Versveld

0.19 Final Free State Cheetahs v Lions

0.21 Final Free State Cheetahs v Sharks

CC Final Vodacom Free State Cheetahs v Vodacom Blue Bulls

Who would have expected that after the horror start the Cheetahs had this year in the Currie Cup? From my pessimistic viewpoint of Naka it does beg the question why he can achieve this in the CC but not a hell of a lot in the Super 14 competition. I stated early in the year he has reached the end of his capabilities and should make room for someone else.

You can only assume after reaching the final his job is secure for at least another year. Hopefully the rest of the Cheetah supporter can convince me it is a good thing…

In other news I read somewhere that in the four team playing last week we had a total of 15 old Grey players plying their trade. I tried to find more specific stats and also about the number playing in the 0.19 and 0.21 semi finals but to no avail.

Well it is a pleasant surprise to find my team playing in the final, never expected that a few weeks ago or even on Saturday till moments before the final whistle. Now let’s hope admin can do their bit and hold on to the majority of these players for a couple of years.

    @Treehugger – 179 hi there….cannot believe you dont like Kanko…….thought all the sharks thought he was the best no 8 ever?

  • 182

    @Tripples – Hi Tripples, i have never really rated him ask GBS, I even asked one day if he wouldnt be better of playing at center 😆 dont think he was impressed, but he was tolerant of what i asked.

  • 183

    @Treehugger – and if we have Alberts, do we really need him.

  • 184

    hehehe at least he held his pose………

    @Tripples – All i know it is going to be soooooooooo exciteing, am very conflicted about who to support cos Bulls my second team but have respect for the way Cheetahs have come back from a bad start.

    My husband said to me one day that he hopes i dont ask some of my questions i ask him to the people on RT cause people will think i am a bit doff and i said Hey Doll! its the only way you learn, and he just shjook his head and had a swig of his beer. 😆

    @grootblousmile – Ahoy Master GBS.

  • 189

    @grootblousmile – Howzat GBS, see i was talking about you, when do you think the smileys will be back.

  • 190

    @Treehugger – lol.

    There is no such thing as a stupid question.

  • 191

    There is never anyone online when i have time to aask questions.

    So Peoples does anyone think our coach is going to replace Kanko with Alberts ?

  • 192

    @The-Pill – Thankyou Pill.
    You are a Shark as well arnt you?

  • 193

  • 194

    @Treehugger – No, but Alberts is going to push for that position and could usurp Kanko if given the chance.

    I would give him the nod ahead of Kanko. Use Kanko the last 30 min or so. Depends on the conditions of the game. Too many variables.

  • 195

    @Treehugger – No. True Blue.

    I did however support the Sharks as my 2nd team in the 90`s.

    It is difficult for me to be assertive about some of my opinions as i dont have much confidence about my rubgy knowledge, but sometimes i dont think it is to bad as i agree with a lot of what the knowledgable rugby talkers have to say but dont express myself very well in the written word.

    Hello friends….

    I’m in slow-motion this morning….

    I went to go drop off a bucket of pool chlorine at my one house in Lynnwood, Pretoria early last night.. and my Tennants there got hold of me and invited me in for a drink at the bar inside the house… I dragged myself away there after too many Jeagermeisters eventually at 1:30am… got home after 2:00 am and was awoken at 7:15am by our friend and fellow blogger, Isigidi, regarding some computer problems…

    I’m frail today, go easy on me… feels like my whole body is being pannelbeated whilst I sit here….

  • 198

    @The-Pill – Why not any more?

  • 199

    @Treehugger – Mmmm. The feeling is almost mutual. I am also not that great at expressing myself the way i think in the written word.

  • 200

    @grootblousmile – hahaha suffer baby suffer. You didnt learn from the last time you were in Potch i think it was not so long ago.

  • 201

    @Treehugger – You guys beat us too often to my liking these days. LOL

  • 202

    @The-Pill – You come across very well and oozeing confidence.

  • 203

    @grootblousmile – Wil nie leer nie?

    Nevamind, i also did a number last night. The first time i think this year on a wednesday.

  • 205

    200@Treehugger – One Jeagermeister is like a car without brakes… 2 Jeagies has got even less brakes…. 3 Jeagies has no brakes and “slicks” for tyres….. 4 Jeagies puts a turbo under the bonnet…. 5 Jeagies and even the handbrake fails…. 6 Jeagies and we’re racing downhill….

  • 206

    @The-Pill – Except when it really counts and it is actually getting embarressing now, if there is some kind of problem with the teams confidence they must do somethin about it, imean really they are profe ssionals andget paid a lot of money.

    I dont go into games feeling confident of winning anymore becasue we just seem to unpredictable and it is bullsh*t. We have good players on paper.

  • 207

    @Treehugger – Well thank you!

    Sometimes i get a little flustered in person, but for the most part i am confident.Well that is the way i like to think.

    Like GBS always say, Die lewe is n lied!

  • 208

    Battaljon 204@Barrabas – Vandag het ek bangbabbelas…. of is dit nou Bang-Barrabas…. hehehe

  • 209

    hak hak…die bulle is…

    🙂

  • 210

    @Treehugger – No good if you win the battles, but lose the war!

    The Sharks will find it difficult to lose that choker tag.

    However, they are a quality outfit and professional team. BUT they seriously lack BMT. I do not know why.
