There is still hope that a full strenth squad will be available for John Plumtree for this comming weekends CC Semi final clash between the defending champions The sharks and the Free State Cheetahs.
On the injury front there is still concerns over the following players, Beast Mtawarira,Bismark Du Plessis, Deon Carstens as well as Jaques Botes, these players have trained lightly this week and all seem to be ready with Deon Carstens and Jaques Botes having to pass fitness tests on Thursday before the team will be announced, Also in full training and raring to go was Johann Muller who’s arm seems to have come through full physical training thus far.
There are many permutations and concerns for John Plumtree to think about,
Does he got with a normal 4-3 bench ? or does he go for a 5-2 split?, This also will only be known to him once he has exact answers for the injury problems that are still oustanding.
What is true is that it wil be a forward battle of note this comming weekend and that it might be wise for John Plumtree to go with a 5-2 split, unless he decide’s to leave out Craig Burden who has been in fantastic form this year, but he is not known for strong scrummaging.
This all of course can only happen if the squad is all fit and ready to play, No matter which selections are made however, this will be a hard match for both teams and one can only hope the Sharks can come out of this battle victorious and injury free.
The fact that the Free Staters had come back from losing their first four games to reach the semi-finals made them exceptionally dangerous, And no one in the Cheetahs team will not be underestimated I am sure and I urge all the Sharks supporters to fill the tank and where ever you are to support the team with all you have .
The match official is Marius Jonker of Zululand and kick-off is at 14h30pm.
Eish now i have a headache lol its easier to damn copy and paste :rotfl:
@sharky_forever –
Brilliant article Sharky!! 😉
1@sharky_forever – Tharky, you do not have to say that you wrote the Article in the first sentence, it automatically appears right at the top.
I changed it… to suit.
Hehe, Sharkey! Had a good laugh now….
First, I misread your headline as “Sharks could swim with Squid”. These multi-focals are causing more problems than I had before I got ’em.
And then you go gooi Marius Jonker of Zululand, hehe! Why? It also sounds like a local Leon Schuster take on Lawrence of Arabia. 😉
Anyway, I really enjoyed the article – thanks Sharkey.
They will all be ready.

Nice Article Sharky,
Really hope that Beast is ready. If Bissie is still injured John could play hooker. Hoping they both can start. Good news to see Muller getting over that arm injury too.
