Right, the day has finally arrived! Only minutes… and counting to the kick-off of the 2009 Currie Cup Final between the Blue Bulls and Free State Cheetahs.

The Bulls enter this game as firm favourites, at home with a record this year second to none. Sure, they only finished third on the CC log but they have a shining Super 14 title to show for their efforts thus far and they are playing the team that came fourth…and only because of a points difference! If you want to put the house on it you will be mad to go anything else than the Bulls.

And for the Cheetahs, well they have been there, done that, literally! It is not the first time they will be visiting Loftus as underdogs and we know what happened last time it happened. Will they be good enough again and will Ollie be on the sideline with a few cigars to hand out after 80 minutes? Time will tell but I think it will be a toss between the boot of Morne Steyn and the magic of Heinrich Brussow with a little Kaplan to mix it all up and make it a memorable occasion for all.

And the winner…? Will tell you after 80 minutes of rugby but my money on the team that scores the most points! Enjoy!

Hi Carol if you go to the first page bo-otter posted a different link to watch the game on.

  • 152

Huge mistake by Cheetahs there with that knock on. Phew!! this will be tough near their line there too.

  • 153

Cant believe he didnt catch that , it was a sitter.

  • 154

Cheers for the links chaps – Technically challenged attempting to do the installing. 😥

  • 155

Loosehead you going to pop a vein somewhere LOL

  • 156

Hak, Hak die Bulls scrum is KAK!

  • 157

    156 – Loosehead

Os should be the specialist scrum coach for the Boks. He has done a brilliant job at the Cheetahs.

  • 158

I understand the feeling Carol. Am the same.

  • 159

Botha should have been penalised for going to ground. Fluck Kaplan.

  • 160

    Eish skopskiet Steyn

  • 161

Ja, as Kaplan nie 5 onkante wil blaas nie, moet ons maar skepskop.

  • 162

145 – Puma – Mad rush here, all go – visitors arriving shortly, surprise party to attend later…..and ‘stuff to do’…and NO I do not wear horned hats!!
However Bulls Blue is my colour!! 😉

    Whats the score now?

  • 163

Morne so good with those drops. Cheetahs should look out for them. Drops is 3 points. Just like the All Black supporters here I think drop goals should be reduced to one point.

  • 164

Folks, I am not one to complain, but the Bulls are getting away with murder. The score does NOT reflect the game. The Bulls should be down to 13 men.

  • 165

    162 – Carol,
27 – 14 to the Bulls. That means nothing. Sharks were way up on the Cheetahs and they came back to beat us. Then this is at Loftus and Bulls very, very hard to beat there.

You can not be a Bulls supporter without the hat with the horns…….. 😆 Now would your rather wear the Mr. Price in front of your jersey or the horns? 😉 😆

  • 166

Carol….once you installed the player, give it enough time to load

  • 167

163@Puma – Drops should remain as it is. It’s harder to kick a drop than a penalty. 3 points is only fair. They shoould leave the points system as it is.

  • 172

168, come on super surely you don’t support negative and dirty play?

  • 173

164 Your missing a great game

  • 174

Sien die Cheetahs moan al klaar oor die ref…
Daar is nog 40min oor hoor!

  • 175

    171, GGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

  • 176

Was it Dewalt that slapped Brussow in the face ?

  • 177

    164 – Loosehead

I have to agree on maybe 14 men. Some things missed there by Kaplan.

Cheetahs wont give up and they wont slow it down. Will come out with fire as they normally do.

I for one am enjoying the game. No heart attack for me today. Feet up and relaxing.

Remember how far ahead Sharks were of the Cheetahs and they came back at us. They have huge heart, Cheetahs wont give up. Then this is Bulls they are playing and at Loftus too. Very, very hard to beat Bulls and they have 10 Boks in that squad too.

  • 178

    64 nonsense!

  • 179

    173, so is Kaplan.

  • 180

Cheetah’s moan oor die ref? waar?
