Right, the day has finally arrived! Only minutes… and counting to the kick-off of the 2009 Currie Cup Final between the Blue Bulls and Free State Cheetahs.
The Bulls enter this game as firm favourites, at home with a record this year second to none. Sure, they only finished third on the CC log but they have a shining Super 14 title to show for their efforts thus far and they are playing the team that came fourth…and only because of a points difference! If you want to put the house on it you will be mad to go anything else than the Bulls.
And for the Cheetahs, well they have been there, done that, literally! It is not the first time they will be visiting Loftus as underdogs and we know what happened last time it happened. Will they be good enough again and will Ollie be on the sideline with a few cigars to hand out after 80 minutes? Time will tell but I think it will be a toss between the boot of Morne Steyn and the magic of Heinrich Brussow with a little Kaplan to mix it all up and make it a memorable occasion for all.
And the winner…? Will tell you after 80 minutes of rugby but my money on the team that scores the most points! Enjoy!

Mooi blou bul hardloop rugby.
that’s it Cheetah’s…all that running to the tryline will make them tired… 🙂
Been all Cheetahs and Bulls get one chance and score a try. That what makes Champions I think. Sorry my Cheetah mates. Cheetahs should slow it down a bit maybe playing into the Bulls hands. Just waiting for them to make those mistakes.
Still great to see. Cheetahs only know to play one way and that is to run it from all over the field.
That pass to Habanna looked a bit forward

Not good enough though mate. One mistake and Bulls get the try. Now they need to slow it down a bit.

Sharks had 18-3 up on this team and still lost. Cheetahs never give up so let us hope we have a game to watch otherwise it wont be a good final to watch.

Sorry Bossie just want to see a good game. Cheetahs playing into the Bulls hands now. They must slow it down a bit. Then they done the same to the Sharks and came back and won. So who knows it could turn around.
Game is nog laaaaaank.
Bulls scrum deep in the shit.
Sheesh, what a game! As a neutral, this is awesome to watch. Bulls’ big names and cool heads are the difference but I love watching the FS play.

Ja, me too love watching those Cheetahs they run it from everywhere. This is the final though and want them to slow it down get some structure there. Otherwise it wont be good to watch for much longer.
Back to the tv. Back a bit later. Wine to wash down too.. 😆
75 persent besit vir staat en 25 vir BB.
Maar die game gaan oor WAT jy maak met jou balle, nie hoeveel nie.
