Right, the day has finally arrived! Only minutes… and counting to the kick-off of the 2009 Currie Cup Final between the Blue Bulls and Free State Cheetahs.

The Bulls enter this game as firm favourites, at home with a record this year second to none. Sure, they only finished third on the CC log but they have a shining Super 14 title to show for their efforts thus far and they are playing the team that came fourth…and only because of a points difference! If you want to put the house on it you will be mad to go anything else than the Bulls.

And for the Cheetahs, well they have been there, done that, literally! It is not the first time they will be visiting Loftus as underdogs and we know what happened last time it happened. Will they be good enough again and will Ollie be on the sideline with a few cigars to hand out after 80 minutes? Time will tell but I think it will be a toss between the boot of Morne Steyn and the magic of Heinrich Brussow with a little Kaplan to mix it all up and make it a memorable occasion for all.

And the winner…? Will tell you after 80 minutes of rugby but my money on the team that scores the most points! Enjoy!

Have to agree Bulls should have had at least one yellow and I am neutral here watching.

A great game by a team that only has one Bok in their side. Be proud of your team.

I actually thought Bulls would win this by far more than they will. Cheetahs just never give up. Only hope they can play like this against our counsins over the Indian ocean next year.

Bulls are S14 and CC champs not BIL champs. That was a SA team together performance. So was the TNations.

Well done Bulls for a brilliant year. Well done Cheetahs for never ever giving up. Good game to watch. Enjoyed every moment and my heart never went racing off to a heart attack once. LOL. Only if my Sharkies were there.

Okay now bring on the Bok squad cant wait.

Who will the youngster be that make it. I wonder. Hoping some make it if they don’t will be surprised.

    Well done Bulle!

Of course you not going to have that mint tea now 😆 Go and pour yourself something you enjoy. Here is to you and GBS. I raise my glass also to my Bulls supporters here. Well done. I raise my glass to a never give up Cheetah side who only had one Bok in it. Well done South African Rugby. I am proud of the whole lot.

Bring on the Boks now. We are all one again. Thank goodness. The rivalry herein SA against Provincial sides is far, far worse than Boks/ABs never thought I would say that but it is.

Please not let us be one. Bring on the eoyt. Let us hope we have a good squad selected. Waiting to hear that now.
