In the new book of All Black lock, Ali Williams revealed that the Auckland rugby team celebrated a win by drinking beer with Viagra in it.

Williams tells how the Auckland team in 2002 celebrated the winning of the national championship and how these celebrations went somewhat wrong.

The Auckland team, that won the final after a series of defeats, celebrated the win when an unknown player distributed Viagra between the players.

This was part of a bet that was made.

According to Williams about 6 of the pills was unknowingly put into the trofee that was filled with beer. The trofee did rounds between members of the team, including the national coach, Graham Henry.

The coach did not want to comments on the incident after the book was released.

In Ali’s Book of Tall Tales, Williams also speaks out about his argument with Blues coach David Nucifora in 2007.

It reached climax when he was send home from South Africa after he disobeyed team protocol, including staying out late on his birthday.

“I was sent home because things started to build up, without any being sorted out”, he said.
