After initially indicating that the Springboks would not call on replacements from SA, following the injury of Andries Bekker and J P Pietersen, Bokke management has decided to call on Johan Muller to strenghten the Bokke squad for their remaining two matches on the Tri-Nations Tour.
With Danie Rossouw having had injury worries and with slight niggles to the knees of Bakkies Botha, it makes sense to call on a decent lock as cover down under. Questions must be asked however whether Johan Muller was the suitable candidate for the job.
Johan has ample Bokke experience but David de Villiers or Anton van Zyl might have proven better choices, whilst at the same time getting them used to the Bokke setup.
FdP het my mond stil gespeel. Hy is “ek wil nie vloek nie” fooooeken goed. Ek sal nou saam stem, Jano is tweede beste.
“The Cape clowns made no impact on the tournament, but a group of Stormers supporters were determined to make their presence felt at the (S14) final. The best of the lot, a brave soul, held up a sign that read:
“Luke, wish you were here”.
That predictably didnt go well with the Loftus faithful, particularly a big, fat bloke who was painted blue from head to toe and sported a blue construction helmet with horns fixed on the sides.
Normally us okes from the Cape wouldnt take a a body-painted fatty seriously. We see that all the time in our numerous gay parades, but this fella meant business. The Luke lover, under severe pressure, promptly tore up the sign and threw his Province jersey into the crowd, where it was torn to absolute smithereeens. Gotta love Loftus.”
hehehehe
@bdb – Ignoreer jy my??? 😈
@Ed_the_Lion –
hehehe, maar dis snaaks he? Seker Skoppie, of Grant gewees.
@K9-MonsterLeeu –
@Supa Die Bloubul – Dit is snaaks.
@K9-MonsterLeeu –
@Ed_the_Lion –
Ja nee hel, dis nou regtig n PK soek.
@Supa Die Bloubul – Gregan, Larkham, Mortlock, Horan, Latham, Herbert. Hulle het gekook op ‘n stadium. Kan nie die vleuels onthou nie.
164@Supa Die Bloubul – Kon dit nie beter stel myself nie. As jy die ou like kwaai, maar jy is dom as jy so iets doen.
Geez, the GLRU are really pushing their loyal supporters to the brink.
Go visit their 2 websites (GLRU.co.za & lionspride.co.za)to see what I mean.
I hope it’s only a hack into their sites, but it’s certainly VERY poor PR.
167@Scrumdown – Surely it is a temporary situation.. for a better web site to emerge ….. or an oversight to pay the webhost??
Does not look good though !
@Scrumdown –
Hell bells, thats a bit embarressing…
168@grootblousmile – I first saw it at 09h00 this morning, so it’s not a short “temporary”.
Surely after Saturday they would be full of themselves with the website telling all and sundry how great they now are, and won’t lose another game this season. (like Loffies first year in charge!)
Meeting gents. Later
170@Scrumdown – Phone the CEO… it’s not good… dammit and we are talking chump change here……. couple of hundred bucks, at most… to pay a webhost for a year.
167@Scrumdown –
bwaaahaaahaaaahaa
where’s ed?
eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed!!
eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed!!
😆
@grootblousmile – Nothing to do with the GLRU. I have confirmation. This is the host. Legal actions are being taken.
GLRU Website Disrepute
As of Tuesday, 1 September 2009, the Golden Lions Rugby Unions’ website http://www.lionsrugby.co.za has been offline, stating “this site has been suspended due to non payment”.
On Monday, 31 August 2009, the GLRU gave their service provider, MacMobile, notice that their services would be terminated, and the manner in which this has been dealt with is unacceptable.
The GLRU have always paid their invoices within seven days from the date the invoice is received, and the latest invoice, in the amount of R21 672.34, which is outstanding, was only received on Tuesday, 25 August 2009, and is for services rendered during August 2009. There are no other outstanding invoices.
The Union is currently working on the situation, and will have the website reinstated within the next few hours.
The GLRU would like to emphasize that this situation does not indicate financial problem in the union, but more a situation of a service provider hijacking the system after their services were terminated.
A very damaging message has been sent out, which will now be addressed in the appropriate forum. We have handed the matter over to our attorneys.
As per our attorney, Johan van Gaalen at Van Gaalen Attorneys, organisations should avoid similar situations by registering all domain names under the name of the organisation and to ensure that up to date copies of all web pages and databases at service providers are retained within the organisation to ensure business continuity.
174@Ed_the_Lion – I tried to phone the GLRU Office Tel No…. nobody is answering…
Sharks going to be even more depleted.
@grootblousmile –
Dis vrek scary! 😆
