The Leopards, at home in Potchefstroom lost to Western Province in round two of the Currie Cup. The final score was WP 37 / 3.

In a lack-lustre match WP earned a full bag of 5 Log points, scoring 5 tries in the process.

In the First Half however, just one try was scored in the full 40 minutes, by Joe Petersen.

At Half Time the score was only 13 / 3 for WP.

In the Second Half WP decided to drive more from penalties close to the Leopards line, resulting in 2 Luke Watson tries.

Juan de Jongh scored another try from a drive close to the Leopards line.

In the dying minutes, Gio Aplon ran a good 70m to score the try of the game after some very enterprising rugby by WP from right in their own goal area.

The Leopards never looked like crossing the WP try line
