MUNSTER have wheeled out their big guns – including new Springbok signing Jean de Villiers – for this weekend’s clash with the in-form Dragons.
South African centre de Villiers is joined by returning British Lions Paul O’Connell, Ronan O’Gara, Donncha O’Callaghan and Keith Earls in the squad for Sunday’s Magners League meeting with the Gwent region in Cork.
Skipper O’Connell and the three other Lions are back on Munster duty for the first time this season, having been named in a 24-man squad.
Fellow Lions David Wallace and Jerry Flannery remain on the injured list as do Peter Stringer (calf strain) and Paul Warwick (foot ligament), while All Blacks wing Doug Howlett gets a rest having played three games on the bounce.
Munster squad: M Horan, J Brugnaut, T Buckley, J Hayes, D Fogarty, D Varley, M O’Driscoll, P O’Connell, D O’Callaghan, D Ryan, A Quinlan, T O’Donnell, D Leamy, N Williams, J Coughlan, T O’Leary, T Morland, R O’Gara, J Manning, L Mafi, J de Villiers, B Murphy, D Hurley, K Earls, F Jones.
