It is with great pleasure that I misuse my posting right here to wish our friend GBS a very blessed day and I am sure we all wish him a very successful year ahead.
Cheers!
Hello AB.
Nee, gaan goed dankie, net warm hier steeds.
@AB –
Let me get this right, the ABs need 2 wins and 2 bonus points, right ? If they get 2 wins and one bonus point then the points diff would surely be in our favour ?
@Manlybok –
Yes, right.
Accept if the AB’s put up a big score against both SA and Oz and wipe out the PD.
If they win both games with a bonuspoint and we don’t get ANY points, the AB’s will be outright winners 18-17 points.
Cape Town – Western Province have virtually assured themselves of a home semi-final in the Currie Cup by beating the Blue Bulls 25-19 on Saturday.
It’s only a superior points difference that has the Sharks topping the log, with Western Province in second place. The first three league games of the second round of the Currie Cup were always going to be decisive in WP’s campaign.
They now have wins over the Sharks and Bulls behind them, with a clash with the Free State Cheetahs on the horizon in Bloemfontein this Saturday.
After this, WP play the Leopards (away), Griquas (home), Boland (home) and the Lions (away). None of these opponents will be strengthened significantly by returning Springboks like the Sharks and Bulls.
Can you feel the excitment building ?
Is like electricity !

@Manlybok – No hell, we should get ONE point at least, and win the thing outright!
@superBul –
Once the Bulls’ Boks return they will beat WP any place, anywhere….. Newlands, Loftus, Vioolsdrif, wherever…no worries.
