Check die foto…lekker lag ek nou!

jannie

On a more serious note, be the first to identify Jannie correctly in the above picture and you can win a 1200 Datsun bakkie….!

Thought I will try my photo uploading skills quickly and in the process introduce the people to Jannie at the same time. Someone also complained about the lack of a kukpraat threat yesterday…well, here you go then!

PS I hear from a reliable source that when Cuzzy pulls his face, he is the spitting image of Jannie…people can confirm later.

PPS As for the bakkie, I said CAN…not WILL

GBS, do we get the whole bakkie or just the motor from some farmers borehole?

  • 2

Put in an order and we will see what we can do…

  • 3

By the way, this is GBS’s favorite picture…he is going to be over the moon that I got it up, just watch!

  • 4

I’m a bit concerned if GBS is over the moon that you “got it up” ??

  • 5

Ehhh the picture! Get yer mind out the gutter blerrie capie! We not all that way inclined…

  • 6

Waar is daai garing van Supa, oor die oud-Bokspan?
Ek het nog nie kans gead om dit behoorlik te lees nie.

  • 7

Hehehehe, how do you access the site to get that right ?

  • 8

    GBS,
    Good idea this, ‘kukpraat thread’.
Keep it going please, for okes like me wo don’t like to talk rugby 🙂

    Dagse Piet,

Did you see those stats on Ray Mordt and Danie Gerber, very interesting, they were my 2 favourite players probably of all time.

  • 10

Piet, Koos, did you see that young oke playing cente for WP(we get 2 Currie Cup games a week here in Oz), De Jongh I think, moer but he can tackle, one to watch, reminds me a bit of Tinus Linee

    Manly, I have privileges…

Pete, as jy op die hoofblad is kan jy aan die onderkant ‘terugblaai’ na vorige berigte.

  • 12

Manly, my team lost! No fun watching it a week later if you know that type of result. I may watch when my team wins a game again…maybe 2011 or something!!!

  • 13

    Koos,

I thought you always claimed to be underpriveleged or previously disadvantaged (coming from the Free State) ?

  • 14

Ja Manly, now it is my turn!

  • 15

#12 Koos, your boys will be back, too much talent in that area and not enough kop, time for Naka to go.

  • 16

11# Thx, I tried Koos, but couldn’t find it, what was the heading again?

#9 Yes Manly, saw that.I wonder how they would have performed in the modern game though.
I mean, take Frik du Preez, one of the ‘rugby players of the decade’ for example. I don’t think he would have outshone Vic Matfield today…..

  • 17

Koos, where do you see ‘previous entries’ on the main page?

  • 18

    #16 Piet,

Agreed, that is their profession now, defences were al lot looser and they don’t have to have a day job.

  • 19

Cheers eers, ek sal later julle antwoord kyk.

  • 20

True Manly but I read a reply on keo which confirmed my worst fears, Kaka and Harold Verster are joint at the hip and it is going to take something special to get rid of him/them.

Verster should have been gone more than 10 years ago when he costed the Union thousands in legal fees fighting a useless battle. He was seen as the lessor of two evils and managed not only to survive but cement his place at the Union.

We are now bearing the fruit of our own ill choices and I hope there are some young guns in the wings prepared to take him on soon…before it is to late.

  • 21

Sorry Pete, gou gecheck, aan die onderkant van die hoofblad is daar ‘n link wat se ‘next entries’, vat jou terug na vorige berigte. Nie seker wat die naam is nie.

Frik was ‘player of the century’ eerder as ‘decade’ by the way…

    18# Manly

Right, and there weren’t even gyms and such those days!

Mannetjies Roux used to travel at his own expense to Kimberley three times a month for practice and games/bus/airplane, 10,000km (don’t even think Kimberley had an airport back then, they travelled by bus to Bloemfontein to catch their flights from there).
    Same with the Upington guys.

The Boks only got a cap, blazer, jersey and socks, had to buy the rest of the kit themselves, even the pants!

  • 23

    21# Gesien, next entries.
Ek soek previous, maar sal later weer kyk dankie.

  • 24

Where’s Pieter Muller these days (not as coach, just wondering)

  • 25

Dis Amerikaans Pete, next = previous…glo my!

  • 26

#24 Someone asked a while ago…I think the answer was back in SA busy with some business of his own…maar ek kan verkeerd wees. Knowing him he is probably still playing rugby for some spaghetti team in Italy…

  • 27

    Piet,

Rob Louw was another favourite of mine.

Also that Eighties WP team with Kobus and Neil Burger, Faffa, Duplessis etc, those were the days I never missed a live game.

  • 28

Pieter Muller was the only guy who made Frank Bunce look up before he got the ball.

  • 29

    Hehe can you blame Frank?

  • 30

    Koos,

Got it thx, ‘A special collection’, under next entries.
How can we move this thread back and up on the menu to latest posts?

Manly, check it out, let me see your team.
